These headlights are awsome, they are bright and look like they belong on a monster truck. They are really plug and play, no issues on that or how they fit. The wrong instructions included with the lights. These lights are the GEN 2 XB's for 2018-20 Ford F-150's. These are at my guess the 2nd or 3rd version of the GEN 2 lights. One of the differences is the adjusters for the light beam pattern. The instructions show four adjusters on the rear of each light, mine has just one. Maybe this is a product improvement. When doing the install I decided to clean up and secure the wiring on these lights. I noticed that there are two "modules" on the lights that are not connected to anything. In fact the two wire harness' that come out of each "module" are plugged into each other. See the photos I attached. Also there were two additional "modules" in a bag with the DRL wiring harness. I looked at every YouTube video that I could find and none of them were using the exact kit I have. None of the videos covered these "modules" and what there function is. This kit is designed to work with either the Halogen light F150 or the LED light F150. One video does have a fairly clear shot of the back side of the light and the lights are definitely not wired like the ones I have. I contacted Morimoto tech support but all I learned there was these "modules" are resistors. Well I've never seen a resistor that does anything when it is plugged into itself. A simple photo of the rear of the light clearly showing the correct wiring for the halogen install and another of the LED install would suffice. Also when changes are made update the instructions that are on the website and ship the correct instructions with the product. I don't like the idea of just trying it to see if it works. $1700+ dollars worth of lights shouldn't include guessing how it should be wired. The media could not be loaded. There is nothing better than Morimoto when looking for aftermarket vehicle lighting. I have replaced my headlights, taillights, third break light and side mirror lights with Morimoto. Very happy customer!

    • Light shakes on little bumps
Install was pretty easy, it is just plug and play. I adjusted the lights to the proper height to get everything lined up and it was great, for about a month. Then the lights started to drift, more on the drivers side then the passenger side. But to make it worse, when im driving and I hit little bumps in the pavement and I mean little bumps, the light moves enough to create what looks like a flicker in the light. It's not actually flickering it just has that little shake that is very noticeable. For nearly 1700 I expected much better. I love the light output and the way they look and they fit great. But I don't like that I'll need to readjust them frequently and the little flicker effect from basic driving will drive me nuts personally. I'll likely be contacting the company and seeing if there's a fix for this but we'll see. ... show more

    • The headlights are very good.
There has been some QC issues with these headlights, and hence the 4 star rating. Mine so far have been perfect, but I'm on the watch for problems. They are brighter , they project farther, and fit as well as the OEM halogen lights, with a sharp cutoff so you're not blinding oncoming traffic. The installation is a little difficult, basically because the plastic clips that hold so much of newer vehicles together are a bit fragile. Now for a warning about The Retrofit Source: Just know, they have zero customer service. They're not afraid to lie to you about shipping. I purchased my headlights on 01-01-21. They arrived on 01-22-21. Their website clearly states 24-48 hours to ship. I called. They blamed the delay on inventory. I called again. They blamed the delay on some shipping label problem. I called yet again, they blamed the delay on...well, they told me they had shipped. No shipping notification, no nothing, out of the blue they showed up a few days ago. After the nearly 3 week wait, the installation went uneventfully, and the lights work well and light the road impressively without blinding oncoming traffic. The lights have a unique look with the four projectors and light the road up very well. I've tried one set of aftermarket bulbs, and aiming the lights was impossible. I was always getting "flashed" by oncoming traffic. These lights, while expensive are far superior to the retro fit bulbs. The lights have been great, the Retrofit Source...not so much. ... show more
