I purchsaed this pump for a 12 foot tilt trailer that had a valve on the ram going port to port a manual setup. I read a lot of reviews and I was worried about a lot of people having problems with trying to find some non standard British fittings. It came in the box with 4 fittings. I removed the ones in the pump replaced them with the other provided. I made two hoses up for exact fit. Everything I used was power steering ram fittings. Welded a piece of flat bar 2"x3/8 8" long to the frame for mounting. I bolted the pre threaded pump block with M10-1.5x35MM to the welded flat bar. The the port coming out of the relay valve with the red knob on it is the pump (up) button and the other side of the block is the the (down). I adjusted the pump so it would not over pressure up or down, so it would bypass at a reasonable pressure. It lifted 2800Lbs with ease. The unit was properly prewired. All of the electrical stud contacts had to be torqued. Be carful the isolated relay contactor is a cheaper one but sufficient for the load. I Used two number 2 wire with no voltage drop at 3' long. Pump is fast. I installed some baffles on the hoses at A-B outputs to tame it down little. I dont think the solenoid and relays are water proof. If this thing will be exposed to weather I would build a cover over the pump electronics. I have only ran it 30-40 times to soon to tell if it will last. Good design well made product for the money. We bought and installed this pump in May 2022. I wanted to use it for a while before reviewing it to be able to give an honest and informed review.... We bought a piece of heavy equipment needed of a lot of t.l.c.! Including needing the hydraulic lift system replaced. We had just previous to this purchase searched and found a smaller pump that we needed for another project and had seen this one in the process. So in the process of searching through a ton of hydraulic pumps we came back across this one ended up deciding this one would be it and we are very glad we did! It came exactly as described and it was very easy to set up/install and works perfect for us! We haven't had a single issue with it! The attached remote works wonderfully and the 15 foot cord is perfect for standing back to see what you're doing. We would recommend this to anyone in need of a hydraulic pump of this size. ... show more

Forget weeding threw all these China pump specs. Any advertised specs clearly mean nothing. Good luck! Update- pump seems to run just as fast as original, contact relay just floats around inside j-box, ORB fittings are metric thread of some sort. I used there additional supplied ORB to -6 and purchased according Tee from local hydraulic supply store. The gravity down is a little too fast but most likely correctable. No worries about it being a 3 phase motor, they have it pre wired to run the correct direction on 220v. All that being said rating changed from 1star to 4. ... show more

    • Know your fittings!

My review is for a double acting, 6 qt. Steel tank unit. Unit arrived as described (for the most part, more on that later). Well packed in a box that appears dropped shipped. The unit appears to have a small slathering of some type of packing grease or oil to keep it from corroding. All parts are intact and nothing missing. Tank welds all appear to be properly done, no leaks as of yet. The unit works as intended. Fat red lead to battery positive. Fat black lead from stud on body of motor to battery negative. I deducted a star because of the description for these hydraulic units are all misleading. The fittings are not SAE - but rather 1/4” BSPP - British Standard Parallel Pipe fittings. They are NOT NPT. While 1/4” NPT may “fit”, the threads in the body of the unit are parallel or “straight” threads vs. tapered. Parallel threads are more common in hydraulic systems because they rely on a gasket or o-ring to seal and tend to be more serviceable than tapered threads which rely on crushing threading surfaces, possibly causing thread damage, to seal properly. While you can force fit a tapered thread into the parallel thread and use some Teflon tape or sealant, you’re better off doing it right and getting an adapter and not damaging the threads. Yes it is added cost, but that’s a part of DIY! You can get BSPP to “your fitting” adapters from a number of places online if you can’t find what you need here on amazon or your local hydraulic shop. I spent about 10 bucks for two fittings to adapt from the fittings on the unit to my application which made things much easier. If you don’t know what you’re doing, your local hydraulic vender will gladly take your money to get things going for you. ... show more
