so works well, replaced a hand pump on a crimper i bought, so much better. doesnt come with clear instructions, you haver to add oils, and not too much or if overflows after use, but works great.

I am having to return this. On reading the manual I found I couldn't use it. As usual, it's got all kinds of safety warnings. But on one sentence on page 3 it quietly says: "Air supply be (sic) 5-10 CFM at 100 PSI to obtain proper operating characteristics". Unfortunately this wasn't in the description. I have 2.6CFM at 93 PSI. I never should have bought it. I didn't even unbox it. ... show more

    • Works ok, you must slow the airflow.
Wouldn't pump at first till I figured out that it needs to be pumped slowly. If you just hammer down with 120 psi, the pump goes back and forth so fast, it doesn't actually pump oil. It would function well with an orifice in the air inlet.

John Black Product was recieved on time and in good shape. It has worked as intended and is very reasonably priced. Only drawback is the hose should be longer. Using this unit to operate a ram pulling kingpins and you don't really want to be that close if something breaks. By no means a deal breaker.     • Nice unit; set up with hose and 3/8" hydraulic adapter.
This pump unit is well built and looks good. The only issue I have is that it comes with a hose and 3/8" hydraulic connector. All my cylinders use 1/4" connectors and the necessary adapters are a little hard to find. I have the adapters ordered and should be able to use the pump soon.
