I bought this for my European style living quarter horse trailer. There was no good place to attach an awning and it is always just me at shows etc, so I hate the pop up style canopies set up for one person. I needed a place to give me cover out of rain and/or sun. I took it this weekend to my horse event. My kit included heavy duty suction cups. The moon shade, ropes, anchors, instructions and poles; allbb but in a nice little lightweight storage bag. Set up was pretty straightforward other than tying the extensions which enable you to clip the canopy up high to the rings when mounted. I initially had trouble getting the suction cups to stay put on the fiberglass waxed shell. They came off 4 times once I attached the canopy to them. I ended up scrubbing off the wax and adding water to the cups. After that they stayed put. I had a ladder, so I didn’t mess with the extension. Once the cups stayed in place everything was great. We had light winds and a downpour for one day and everything stayed put and kept my boots and entryway dry. I think I will order the 3m suction cup mounts, as I constantly worried that they were going to fall off. Other than that, everything was sturdy and made the bad weather tolerable and gave me a respite from sun and rain. It was easy to put up, easy to take down and store and I look forward to seeing how durable it is. For now, I can’t rate this as I haven’t had it long enough to test. I will update after I have used it for awhile.

My camper van didn't come with an awning, and having a pop-top there's no easy way to get one on without spending more money than I want to spend. The Moonshade is the perfect solution for me. I also looked at other options, some cheaper and some, more expensive, but none of them had the reputation that the Moonshade has so I bought it. I also had to order the magnets because with the pop-top, there's no room for the suction cups. It only took a few minutes to put up... a little longer the first time, but after one setup, the rest are a breeze (unless there's a big breeze).

This is a really great awning. It comes in a very compact case that's easy to carry and transport. It's incredibly easy to put up, I did it on my own straight out of the bag for the first time in under 10 minutes. We used suction cups and while they did stick they came off a few times and so we are looking for a more permanent option. We may purchase the drilled hooks from the same company in the future. With the stake tie downs this is fine for when there's wind. It's attractive, easy to handle and the perfect awning for our little Scamp travel trailer!

Where to start…I was expecting top quality for an awning of this price. The suction cups don’t hold for long, the tent is black on top and radiates heats onto your head if in direct sunlight. There are places where it was creased badly enough during manufacturing to ruin the fabric (allow light to pass through)…and the kicker -> not even close to being waterproof. I was expecting it to leak a little at the seams, but no, this thing seeps water in the middle. I wanted this to work as well as the price demands…does NOT live up to its marketing. The poles are easy to assemble as is the overall structure. Good bag, neat concept for the clips…but my $20 no name brand tarp kit is water proof and my $50 no name tarp doesn’t pass IR/heat onto my head if I sit underneath it. It is going back.

We renovated a horse trailer into a food truck. I had hoped this would work and suction cup to the side or roof. Neither size would stick. But, it did stick to the windows so we got it to work. It was a breezy day in the morning of our event and it stayed put. We may have to add hooks on the roof but that opens potential leaks so I thought this would work best. Either way, sticking it to the windows will work for now. Weather hit 85 degrees and usually we are roasting inside the trailer but this kept the heat at a tolerable temp. Love that it is tall enough no one hits their head on it so the adjustable legs are pretty epic. We have only used it the one event so far but I am very impressed with this. Kinda expensive so thats only reason for 4 stars on value for the money. So glad I got the gold color too it matched our trailer perfect and we got a lot of compliments from our returning customers. Most appreciated the shade while ordering.

It is light weight, not different to setup and very useful for my class b RV for the door area when it rains. But the suction cups used to attach the awning to the vehicle are not strong enough. They could fall out quite some time. We purchased a pair of moderate strong Magnets to do the job, and that worked really well. I see many similar comments to the suction cups. I think this product should be equipped with a pair of stronger magnets instead of letting buyers searching solutions themself. Also it is a bit too pricy, but we could not find other product that we like better.
