This backpack sprayer has worked well for me so far. I have used it to spray spot fertilizer mixed with a green dye. I have not had any issues with clogs or low pressure. It is fairly easy to pump, and the wand and hose are long enough to be comfortable to use. I would get this again.

    • Comes with instructions, but if you're a newbie watch a video...
First time even seeing a backpack sprayer, let alone using one. Not hard to do, but it took me a little while to figure things out. The tank is heavy when full, of course. I was able to get it on, by setting it on a counter and then sticking my arms into the straps, etc. The mechanism to use the wand and to pressurize the tank is fairly easy to use. I was able to get the hang of it fairly soon. Almost the whole thing is plastic, but it is NOT flimsy. I found it easy to measure/fill, no issues. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I DID like the adjustments on the spray type (mist to stream). Seems to be well made, no blems or issues. The hose was long enough, the wand also long enough and has good angles. Only used it once so far, for an organic spray fertilizer. Good so far. ... show more

There's a lot to like about this backpack sprayer. It holds 4 gallons, so you don't have to keep going back to mix up a new batch for larger jobs, it has a long hose and spraying wand for reaching into nooks and crannies, and the manual pumping mechanism is strong and reliable. Of note is the spray handle is much higher quality than what you get from the big box stores, with a nice trigger and quality commercial components. From my perspective it is not too short and in fact the perfect length. Many of my 1 G tank sprayers seem to fail after a season or two, but I expect this to last a lot longer. The straps are a bit thin for initially carrying 4G of liquid on your back (33 lbs), but as the liquid is used the weight becomes less of an issue. There is a chest strap to help balance the weight and relieve some of the weight from the shoulders to the chest. The pump handle for keeping the tank pressurized during use is comfortable to use and didn't get in the way. Really love this backpack sprayer! ... show more

This backpack sprayer has made spraying the weeds in my yard a lot less time consuming than using those tiny 1 gallon pump sprayers. With the capacity on this tank, I am able to cover both the front and back lawn without having to refill it. The hand pump on the side is a lot more convenient as well. Adjustability of spray pattern is neat, but I mostly use the mist setting. The only feature I have not been ecstatic about is the straps. This backpack sprayer has been great for tackling weeds and pests around my property. The 4-gallon tank holds plenty of solution, and the padded straps make it comfortable to wear even when full. I appreciate the adjustable brass nozzle - it's easy to switch between a fine mist and a targeted stream. The wide mouth opening makes filling and cleaning simple. My dad sprays all our houses outside a few times a year to control pests and he no longer has to lug a heavy jug pump sprayer when he does. This fits comfortably on his back and now he has two hands for spraying and working and can get the job done much faster

    • The sprayer works okay after set up but it leaks
This sprayer is somewhat easy to set up for first time use and works as intended however the product leaks and all the solution are gone. Not sure if I got a defective item but if you do decide to purchase this, make sure you only put enough solution for one time use and refill as needed.     • Great quality backpack sprayer.
This is one of the better backpack sprayers I have owned. Everything is made from high quality materials making it more of a commercial grade sprayer than the traditional backpack sprayer for home use. I believe this sprayer will give me many years of good service. With its 4 gallon capacity it strikes a good balance between the weight when full and the burden of carrying it and the area you can cover before refilling it. I have a 50 gallon sprayer that goes behind my tractor that I use when I spray fence lines around the farm but this sprayer is perfect for spraying the yard fences and around the house as well as washing down the house. This sprayer easily reaches the second story when spraying house wash solution and I can be done before I get everything hooked up to the tractor sprayer. This is a great tool to have in your home maintenance arsenal. I don’t think you will find a better sprayer than this one, for the price. I am considering buying one for my son to use at his house while they are still available. ... show more
