Super cute and trendy! Matches with everything! One thing I don’t like is that the zipper is on one side, I’m used to a backpack that has double zippers, but that’s just a small thing that is just more of a personal preference! It does have security lock feature on the main zipper so you can lock the Booksack which makes it difficult for someone to unzip it quickly, and grab into your bag. The front pocket zipper is small and doesn’t have that safety feature. The back of the backpack does have a zipper pocket on the side, which actually fit more than I expected, I put my wallet and phone in it since it would be sitting on my back. I used this on a trip to Europe and it worked great. Large enough and can fit a lot of things inside! If you are using it for traveling, do remember it is on the larger size and is a little more bulky than other brands, but it was perfect for what I needed. I carry backpacks in place of purses because it frees up my hands for handling my service dog. The last backpack I bought from Amazon was poorly made and the straps fell off after only a few months. This one already feels far more sturdy and I will update this review if/when it gives out. Good things: I love the cute chevron/zigzag embossed design on the front. The main compartment zipper pull is wide because it latches to a mount when zipped close, but the unexpected bonus of that wide zipper pull is that it is more arthritis-friendly. My fingers appreciate that. The front zippered pocket has a cute tassel decoration on the zipper pull. The extra hardware from the tassel attachment gave me plenty of space to clip my "EpiPen Inside" tag to. The front pocket is flat and doesn't expand, so it doesn't hold much. For me, it perfectly fits 2 EpiPens and the practice pen. Anything else put in there will obstruct the ability to completely zip it closed. This is not a negative for me because I always put just my EpiPens in the front small pocket of my backpacks, but if you're wanting to put extra stuff in it, keep in mind the pocket will not expand. The faux leather feels sturdy, yet is also soft to the touch. The straps are wide enough to not dig into your shoulders but not so wide that they look disproportionate to the bag. All hardware accents are gold colored. The straps seem securely stitched, but time will tell. Indifferent things: The zippered pocket on the backside of the backpack has a pretty deep pocket, about 6 inches deep, but my rectangular frame wallet doesn't fit in it. The main compartment only has one small zippered pocket. Bad things: the orange is not quite as bright ans vivd as it is in the listing images. I keep my phone screen very dimmed and it still looks brighter on Amazon than in person. That having been said, the color is still beautiful, just not the bright orange I eas expecting. I live in Knoxville, TN, the realm of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. It's all orange everything around here, and now my backpack is no exception, even if it isn't the right shade of orange. Weird things: the brand tag inside the bag is chunky with something hard stitched inside it. Where the last T in MONTANA WEST should be on the main compartment zipper pull, there us a little indentation of a T without the black enamel filling. Upon further inspection, I found the black enamel T stuck to the bag elsewhere. It easily brushed off. I included photos of this. Overall, nothing was a deal breaker. I bought this bag, because I didn't want to spend a fortune on another bookbag. Its durable, its roomy enough for the essentials. I tend to lose every item I need in my purse becuase they are too big, but this one is just right. Has a pocket in the front that is helpful for easier access, the large pocket holds my agenda, and there is a small pocket on the inside that barely holds my check book. Nice well made bag! I have the tan color. It comes extremely well packaged and cared for! Now, although smaller than the laptop sizes, which is what I wantefd, it fits alot of items. I am SO pleased with this backpack/purse!! I AM a bag lady but my husband even thinks this was a great choice for me. This material is super--durable, supple, gorgeous! I bought the green one...such a pleasant and versatile color--casual, yet classy, too! I wanted a bag to carry a planner, as well as my iPad and keyboard...along with all the other "necessities," :) and this fits the bill. I wasn't sure I'd like to put my phone in the sideways zip pocket but the pocket is not the whole width of the bag and so the phone actually sits in there perfectly. BONUS! Also wondered if the front zip space would really be that helpful--it is perfect for tissues, mints, etc. that are small but perhaps might be wanted rather quickly. SUPER! Love that there is an inside zip pocket, too. The whole little twist lock mechanism on the main zipper--both reassuring AND an adorable little extra personality. Oh...and so happy with the tassel--SWEET! The bag is SO comfortable on my back and I'm sure my orthopaedic team will be glad I am using this instead of just a shoulder bag. I give this backpack 5 out of 5 stars--no doubt. And the PRICE...this is an amazing price for this bag...I was surprised at the quality of this product at this price. I mean, WOW happy. Had ordered (and returned) a different but very similar brand close to the same price and was also surprised, I mean WOW NOT happy! The only thing I can come up with as something I would like to see in future versions would be a couple of slip pockets on the inside on the opposite side from the zip pocket. Now, if you'll excuse me, I NEED to put a couple of these in different colors on my wish list!! ;) ... show more
