  • Great sax stand!
After reading reviews of not being stable after I ordered it, I was a little skeptical. However, it was a little unstable but if you carefully tighten up some of the nuts, the stand works great! I gig several times a month so I am always looking to upgrade my equipment. My alto and tenor both sit quite nicely without any adjustments. I will definitely be getting another for my tenor. ... show more

  • Nice Stand, A Little Wobbly
Bought for my Tenor and Alto Saxes. I found there's too much play in the lower flip-up joint. Therefore the Alto tends to fall backward. The Tenor works fine as it has enough weight hanging forward, if it's going to be on the stand for a while, I usually swivel the neck around to put extra weight to the front. Not a bad stand, wish the joints didn't have so much play in them when the stand is all deployed. ... show more

  • It's more for an Alto.
The stand is great if you place an Alto on it. I have both a Tenor and an Alto, though I purchased it for my Tenor. With the tenor, it does tend to wobble as the height of the stand only reaches half way of the tenor. Too, the weight of a tenor exceeds an alto, and therefore, this stand would work perfectly for an alto, but not so much for a tenor. ... show more

  • Great value stand
The stand is sturdy and looks like it will fit easily in my sons backpack for school. For now it is set up in his room. It takes up very little space and is a great value.

  • Great Stand, BUY IT!!!!
I purchased one of these stands previously from Music & Arts and paid $50 for it. My husband loved it and now that he has 2 saxophones, he has been needing another one but didn't want to pay $50 for it. I found this one on Amazon and was not sure if I wanted to get it since it was so cheap BUT I'M SO GLAD I DID! It is the same stand, but a new model, and just a sturdy and great, for a fraction of the price. YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS PRICE FOR THE QUALITY! ... show more

  • Good budget stand
The stand is well-made and seems very durable. It packs down to a good convenient size. My only problem is that the weight of the tenor seems to pull the stand back instead of leaning forward. My alto sits forward over the front leg and is very stable. My tenor is heavier and pulls the stand arm back. This pulls the horn more upright where the weight isn’t over the front leg, and makes it feel less stable. I haven’t had any problems where the stand fell over yet, but it’s just not as stable with a tenor. ... show more

  • Poorly Engineered
I've been a professional sax player for more than 40 years. This could be a decent stand if the manufacturer paid more attention to the engineering. The vertical support arm is not positioned properly when it's locked into place. Thus, when the horn is placed on the stand, it is out of balance and it all wants to fall forward. It's too unstable and you can't trust it. ... show more
