  • Works as described
Color: Flat Dark Earth Size: 1 inch
I had no problems getting this to clamp down with ease and fully lock down even after shooting, ymmv

  • Read this before purchasing, I am only here to help
Color: Black Size: 1 inch
I put this on my AR15 with a Vortex crossfire II 2X7. I did much research on this mount and the scope, which I am writing a review for now. (the scope is a bang for the buck best you can get for 120$ IMO) Okay, for the mount, you will need a torque wrench to place the scope inside the rings properly. I hand-tightened them, and the scope moved after about 100 rounds. After putting 18-19 inch pounds of torque on the scope rings, it is totally secure, and the scope has not moved after 100 plus rounds. Do not exceed the torque of, let's just say 20-inch pounds because you will strip them out or crush your glass in the scope. It is challenging to gauge how much torque that is without the inch-pound torque wrench. I recommend investing in one. The screws that mount the rings to the rails are super soft (the softest I have seen on anything I can remember hardware related). I could not get more than 30-inch pounds without the flathead screwdriver threatening to strip the screws (sources say to tighten it to 40-inch pounds). Use the correct-sized flathead screwdriver and be very careful you will strip these screws much easier than you think. This is the significant flaw in the mount. The only way to secure the mount to the rifle securely also subtracts the ability to use the levers to quick-release the scope and mount. If you put this mount on an airsoft or .22 you potentially could find the sweet spot to use the quick-release feature. If you intend to use this mount on anything more powerful than a .22 forget the use of the quick-release feature. However, this is still an OKAY low-cost mount without the cool quick-release feature. I read in the reviews that someone replaced the soft rail screws with some from a local hardware store, and they were able to get a much tighter torque from the mount to the rail of their rifle. I have not tried this yet but not a bad bit of information to hold on to. Overall, man, I love a good product at a low budget cost (hints the scope, which I am very happy with) this mount just does not quite qualify as what I would consider a good purchase. It caused me more headaches than it was worth. That being said, I am still using it until I have one more issue. I am a budget man through and through, so if you don't want to take the risk of a headache as I did, you'll have to spend more money. I will write or update this review if anything changes, but right now, with proper torque settings, the mount meets but does not exceed my shooting needs or expectations. Just remember this is a low-cost mount, and that usually leads to some things that will need to be worked out for you based on your needs. Do not expect a super high-quality mount for this price. ... show more

  • Easy on and easy off.
Color: Black Size: 1 inch
This allowed me to use a scope I liked and get the proper eye relief on my Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle. Will buy again when needed. Great value for the money.

  • I'm impressed
Color: Flat Dark Earth Size: 30 mm
I normally wouldn't buy off-brand mounts but just wasn't in the mood to spend money for this rifle. Surprisingly it holds up to 300 blk out with no issue. Nice fit and finish too. Haven't tried nor would I expect the QD function to actually hold zero like a high dollar one. But that's not what I bought it for. ... show more

  • Good solid mount, but description says 5oz weight.. NOT TRUE
Color: Flat Dark Earth Size: 1 inch
This mount is solid, the clamps close tightly - securing the rifle scope well enough. My only problem is that the description says 5 ounce weight, but its really 7.1 ounces. Ounces means pounds people, that stuff really adds up in the end. Oh and the color is not flat dark earth (tan), its more of a flat camo green, not a deal breaker by any means, but just to be aware of. I'll add a review of this mount on my Youtube channel under "GunCraft76" - there you'll also see a variety of other reviews and AR builds. ... show more

  • Worked great
Color: Black Size: 30 mm
Worked great a finish is 8.5 out of 10. The screws come assembled. I was worried about the anodized coating messing up the treads but everything was perfect. It say don’t spend the money on a 100 dollar plus mount, this one is good enough and the quick release levers look and function well. Be sure to lock tight screws. Very impressed (I’m writing from my wife’s account) ... show more

  • Good budget mount
Color: Black Size: 30 mm
This Monstrum one piece scope mount with rings is a good buy. Quick delivery, light weight, and sturdy. The quick disconnect feature is a great thing. Scope mounted easily and the hardware that was included seems good. No instructions, but most folks can find any information on youtube. This item is made in China, but the cost difference from the major name brands is significant. I'll see if this mount and rings hold up to repeated recoil from my rifle. I recommend this if you are on a budget. ... show more

  • Surprisingly good
Color: Black Size: 30 mm
I got both 30mm and 1". Rings were very well machined. They lined up with each other exactly. It's very light weight but very solid. My only dislike is the QD adjustment screws are very very soft and mar/damage quite easily. I tried to torque them to 35 in/lbs and that's not an option. I finally backed off to just under 10 to make them work, and, I gouged up the screws pretty good in the process. The problem is that the QD cam is not at its max pressure/hold when fully engaged. It actually grips the most as it is passing through the arc of the cam, and, gets slightly loser when fully engaged. But, that said, it does seem to grip quite well. I've not tried to check the zero after removal, but, I'd bet it will be fine. Scope height on a flat top AR is just right. Hey, a cantilever QD type mount for $35??? Yeah. It's great. ... show more
