Great hunting scope. Placed this on top of a 7mm remington magnum. Love this retical for hunting. I also have the Hornet from Monstrum. You just cant beat these First Focal plane scopes at this price. That being said the retical is best for hunting applications within 400 yards in my opinion. The cross hairs are a little thick at full magnification. The Hornet from Monstrum has a very Fine dot at full magnification and can be used more easily at extreme long range shooting. The glass, reticle, turrets, and eye relief are amazing and build quality is great. For beyond expectations for the price. I also own the hornet with similar qualities. But the down side is the this scope does not come with a sunshade or flip caps. Because these things do not change the proformance of the scope just it's ease of use, I still give it five stars. Just wish those accessories could be easier to find and purchase as a set. ... show more

Monstrum makes great scopes and I have 5. This particular scope is not their best effort...the glass is not as clear as their Gen 2 and other models. I'm going to ask if I can trade this for a different scope, although I missed the 30 day return due to surgery.
