I love this soil, I have bought it twice now and have been very happy with it each time. My monsteras and Thai monstera are absolutely thriving in it, my albo will be repotted in a couple of months into this as well. It may not be “chunky” but it is super airy and drys out faster than most soil mixes including the one I make for my other aroids (orchid bark, worm castings, chunky perlite and organic soil.)

I love this soil. It is airy and lightweight. I initially purchased due to a Monsterra that was struggling a bit, wasn’t giving me any new leaves. I repotted in this and I’ve already got new leaves. No bugs or fungi. I still sterilize all my soil before using. Place in oven safe dish at 275 degrees for 30 minutes. I’ve also purchased their Fiddle Leaf soil. Will purchase again!

This Monstera planting medium seems like it will work well, but unfortunately the standard ziplock bag it was packaged in opened and spilled into the amazon shipping box. The soil particles are super-fine, and everywhere the box sat, dirt was left behind (probably including in the delivery truck.). I poured the dirt into another, more durable ziplock bag, but I’d say I lost half of what I purchased. Please rectify this problem in the future.

Straight out of the bag this soil is far too fine and dense for tropical plants. It turns hard as a brick and compacts when watered. When mixed with equal parts orchard bark and perlite, it becomes usable, but as a ready-to-use soil, it would have killed my plants.

The soil seems good. This is the second bag I’ve bought. This time it arrived as basically a box full of soil.. that left trails of dirt everywhere. My other items were covered in dirt. I found a pretty big hole in the soil bag.
