Not as loud as I thought it would be. Especially considering the 720 play. Ionn speaker I have is maybe 3 clicks louder. But other than that, it is a very solid & good looking speaker. The phone charge does work & I love the bass boost option.

    • Power button stopped working within 3 months.
The speaker has great sound is perfect for outdoor usage. The sound quality and base are pretty impressive. Our school uses one as well in the gym. It works great as a Bluetooth speaker, but hardly pics up any FM radio stations. That was disappointing. I am 30 miles from DFW area, so I should have good signal. After 3 months, the power button would no longer turn off. I'm currently talking with Monster customer service about the issue. The troubleshooting doesn't seem to be working. ... show more

The sound quality sold me . The radio works well , the charger for phone works and the battery lasts and lasts! I started with brooks ton big blue go 60 needed a subwoofer then alter lancing shockwave 200 better then I tried again and I’m done the rockin roller 270 is worth the little bit more money all the way!!! ... show more

    • Purchase if you like disappointment!!!
I purchased two of these for a celebration of life service. While hooked up to one speaker it functions reasonably well. However the sound volume was disappointing with no noticeable difference between plugged in or battery operated. These are supposed to be significantly louder while connected to power. This is not the case. When you go to connect to another identical speaker you may or may not be able to get these connected. The pairing method in the instructions failed 100% of the time. While messing around with them I was able to get them connected twice. Unfortunately neither of those times was when it counted. When it comes to sound quality I have been severely disappointed. Initially there was no noticeable distortion until the volume was above 80%. With less than 20 hours of play time the distortion is noticable at all volume levels. For reference I have not played them above 95% volume even though all self contained speakers should not be capable of "blowing" themselves. Additionally you should be aware that the app to control these speakers remotely is buggy and difficult to navigate. The only redeeming quality is the battery life. It is impressive. If this is your only concern then this is the speaker for you. I highly recommend going with another option. ... show more

Best one like this I have ever owned. Sound and bass are amazing. The volume is way louder outside than most definitely better than J#L sounds systems. The battery life is well, I ran this unit for 2 day none stop and still had battery left. Don't know how many days I can get.
