I mostly write reviews when I am impressed with the quality of the good and yes, I am overly surprised with this small portable speaker. I got it 5 minutes ago and turned it on and the sound is unbelievable. The bass is perfect for me, the sound can be extremely loud with no distortion of any kind. The BT connection is excellent - I carried it in another room and no interference or disruption of any kind, unlike another very famous brand. I tried several brands and at my amazement, this one fulfill my expectations at 500%. It is the ONE I should have purchased in first place. The rubber handle and the shoulder strap are very convenient. The speaker is not too heavy nor too light. I really love it and right out of the box. I just discover that Monster is not only excellent for their various cables but also in speakers! I really highly recommend it and the price is unbeatable! Thank you Monster for providing such quality products.

I absolutely love this speaker! It's so awesome with its portable size and two handles The sound is crystal clear, although you might need to turn up the volume for anything connected via Bluetooth. I really appreciate the option to insert a microSD card filled with music. Plus, unlike most other speakers, this one even has FM radio. The only downside for me is that there isn't much bass - I'm a bass-head, so I need my bass. Nevertheless, it still sounds fantastic, and I enjoy listening to podcasts on it. It's quite large and perfect for backyard use, although it may not be as big or loud as speakers specifically designed for outdoor use. Overall, it's a fantastic value!

I like this speaker, as it's big and has two handles - the one you see in the picture and a cross body strap that's detachable. The sound is clear, although anything connected via Bluetooth will need to be turned up, and I like that you can insert a microSD card full of music and unlike most other speakers, this unit boasts FM radio. My only quibble is that there isn't much bass - I'm a bass-head, so I like my bass. It still sounds great though, and I like listening to podcasts on it. It's also pretty big, and can be used in your backyard, but probably not as big or loud as speakers designed to use outdoors.

Very impressed with the overall performance of the speakers. The size it’s small and compact, which makes it easy to use everywhere and carry around. The sound is extremely loud for its science, and the sun quality is great for many different occasions. The connection and set up was easy through Bluetooth and the distance range is about 40 feet. Great speakers and definitely a must have for small occasions, small parties or get-togethers.

For how big it is, (and heavy) the sound quality is horrendous. I would have rated it lower but I guess 1 star is the minimum. Expected more from Monster, and thats why I chose it over a JBL. Have they never heard of mids and lows?

Carry this around the yard in my wheel barrow to listen to musice while working. Pairs up nicely with my laptop in the garage and has good range. Really nice sound for something so small and easy to carry around. I listen only to opera music and I am pleased with the souind quality I get with this unit. I could not get hte charging cord to insert properly with the first unit I bought and returned it, but bought the very same item to replace it. Its that good.

I got this at a discounted price for Black Friday. $39.99. If that was the full price, it'd be just right. Yep. $40 in sound is about all you get. It's loud, that's for sure. But that's about it. It took awhile to get it connected, but once it does, it will automatically auto-connect when turned on. The silicone handle is nice. It comes with a USB-C cable and a shoulder strap. Monster is not the Monster that once was, unfortunately. Battery life seems on-par with the description, and the unit seems durable. I guess this would be great for jobsites and for the beach. Would be a perfect companion for golf and sports, as well. If you like flat sound with little bass, this is for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Ive had smaller generic BT speakers with MUCH better sound. Take it for what it's worth.

I bought this because Amazon had a 70% of limited time deal from the $139 list price. I decided to take a chance and grab one. For a $40 speaker, it’s not bad. 40 watts of power means you get a pretty clean sound at higher volumes. And it holds up in sound quality to some of the $40-$50 speakers from W-King and others. But if you bought this at the list price of $140, you were ripped off. There are dozens of speakers from Anker, W-King, and more with far better sound quality for less than that. To list the MSRP at $140 is frankly insulting, considering Monster has some quality products in the $200+ category. This speaker, at most, should be listed for around $60. If you’re seeing it for more than that, please consider another product.
