Features

  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD -- Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads; heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade

Description

Ideal for light trucks that that tow or carry varying loads, Monroe load adjusting shocks include a heavy gauge calibrated spring that adjusts to road and weight conditions to provide extra control when operating conditions get more demanding.

  • Improved Towing!!
Purchased these rear shocks for my 2009 GMC Sierra Denali. I have been trying to reduce the sway when towing my dual axle hybrid camper (~6k lbs.). First, I upgraded my tires from “C” to “D” rated. That helped some, but after adding these shocks with the coil spring assist, it leveled out my truck with no more sagging rear end!! Right is perfect with and without the trailer! I highly recommend these!! ... show more

  • Levels out truck
Put these on my leveled 2018 silverado 1500 z71 Pros With a load of tools, campershell the truck was 1" low in the rear. These brought it about 1/2" higher than the front loaded. Also helped handling as they stiffen the rear suspension. Cons Ride rough unloaded and ride to 1 1/2" high unloaded

easy to put in, but have to drop the spare tire

  • Best multi-purpouse shock
This shock pairs perfectly with someone looking for a small lift on their truck and someone who tows frequently. I do not think i would like these shocks on an stock ride height truck. These lifted the rear of my truck just over an inch and a quarter from stock height. That being said, they paired perfectly with a 2.5 inch leveling kit from motofab. Im running these on a set of 295/60r20 tires (34x12) and the combo is 100% perfect. Truck now squats minimally( less than a half inch) with my tongue heavy equipment trailer where before it was close to 2 inches. The factory ride quality is retained, maybe ever so slightly stiffer on large bumps, but to me thats a plus. Installation can be tedious alone, just crawling in and out under the truck to adjust jack to mount height. Just know youll have jack the body up quite a bit to install these as they do not compress by hand like normal shock absorbers. I'm a professional and installed both sides in 10 minutea, but anyone can install these with a floor jack and an impact! I 100% recomend these to anyone with a leveling kit! ... show more

  • Great improvement in ride and control
Replaced the factory shocks on my 2020 Silverado with 43,000 miles. I pull a 22-foot travel trailer. The shocks and springs give a bit of added lift plus eliminated the bounce in the rear when pulling the trailer. I wish I had done this two years ago!

  • Nice shocks
I had the shocks professionally installed and it does make a big difference but the driver side sits 1 inch lower than the passenger side. I'm not sure why but they did help with the squatting when I hooked up my travel trailer.
