I’ve had this fiber laser engraver for a few weeks now, and my partner and I have mainly been using it for engraving metal pieces. Setup was pretty smooth overall—the red dot pointer made it easy to line things up quickly, and the fact that it works with LightBurn (which I already use) made transferring designs simple. The menu layout wasn’t the most intuitive at first, and we ended up spending an afternoon adjusting the parameters and testing settings until everything felt right. Once we got past that initial learning curve, it’s been running very well, and the precision has been impressive. One thing I really like is that it doesn’t take up too much space. If the 6.9″ x 6.9″ work area is enough for your projects and you don’t have a ton of room to spare, this machine is a solid option.

Está muy bajita la base del láser y no se pueden juntar los puntos láser para grabar en eje giratorio,necesito poner el eje giratorio afuera de su base con unas maderas y eso no está bien. The laser base is too low and the laser points cannot be brought together to engrave on the rotating axis. I need to place the rotating axis outside its base with some wood, and that is not correct.

I finally got my laptop to recognize the laser and made my first engraving - now to learn rotary tool… Note: had to route the usb through powered port and use adapter to turn usbc back to standard usb to get device mgr to recognize it.

I've been using this fiber laser for a few weeks now, mostly for metal engraving projects. The machine came well-packaged, and setup was pretty easy. It works with Lightburn, but the included software was actually easier to get started with than I expected. The engraving quality is great, and it's noticeably faster than the older fiber machine we had at the workshop. It comes with a good starting set of parameters, and once you dial things in, the results are clean and detailed. It did take a bit of trial and error to get certain tones right, but that's kind of expected with color marking. The fan is a bit louder than I thought it would be, and while the machine is technically compact, it still ends up taking more space than you'd think once everything’s set up with the PC and accessories. But the performance really holds up — it’s powerful enough for what I need.

I bought this about 4 months ago and have put quite a few hours on it, I can say with confidence that it performs VERY well. There are only two complaints and honestly neither is a big one which is why I still gave it 5 stars. First the buttons for up and down on the laser head are too small and mine shipped with a faulty up button (Monport immediately shipped me a replacement button with no fuss which speaks to their product support). Second the lens mount is an unusual thread pitch so if you want to change lenses say from 200 to 100 you will need to make sure you order the right thread pitch (M85 is the common thread pitch for lenses but the Monport uses M68, it does not affect the laser at all it's just a different size you need to be aware of). Again support from Monport was excellent, they sent me an adapter for the lens I bought with M85 thread pitch at no charge and without me even asking for it. I have to say, I was warned before I bought this machine that Monport support was not good and I was very happy to find their support was actually exceptional. The laser itself performs flawlessly, consistently and for extended periods. This is really important if you have demanding work like engraving coins with 3D images where you can easily make 150 passes over the course of a 3 hour burn. I burned 30 brass challenge coins that were 90 minute burns on each side. I was burning them in batches of 9 so we are talking about running the laser continuous for almost 15 hours, non stop. The machine never faltered, never overheated and burned a consistent accurate engraving every time. This is really important not just for showing that the machine can pass a serious torture test but a failure in the middle of a 15 hour 3D image burn will cost you not just 15 hours of time but all the materials you are burning will be lost and brass challenge coin blanks can be expensive. I was nervous buying the machine because it is a very expensive tool, I was relieved to find it a very good quality machine that actually is better than I was hoping it would be. Pros: Reliable High accuracy Excellent power Excellent product support Very affordable 60w MOPA Cons: Up Down buttons too small Verdict: You will not find a better machine for the money, and I suspect it is as good if not better than half the machines that are priced far above it. If you are looking for a quality MOPA fiber laser with excellent support you have found your machine and you have found it at a fantastic price.
