  • 12” that changes everything
Size: 12 Inch
Got the 12 inch….. DID NOT KNOW ITD BE THAT BIG lol. I’ve got a 5.1 surround directly facing me evenly dispersed but it’s only 600 watts with a 4” woofer. I have a audio splitter kit that turns my Vizios rca out in to two individual 3.5mm aux outs. So one of the outs like I was saying goes to the 5.1 in front of me, and the other I have going to my Xrocker gaming chair. The gaming chair was also lacking bass unfortunately, although it has its own dedicated audio out. So I decided to get this sub, strictly based off of its low profile and connective capabilities. So I run this sub directly behind my gaming chair vertically….. DUDE THIS THING IS SO TIGHT. I can just compare it to how my knowledge/experience/preference with headphones changed once I got my first pair of Skullcandy crusher evo’s. You have to have the bass. And not just a bit of bass. Fully customizable and DEDICATED bass. Frequency response and accuracy to me are phenomenal especially even at lower volumes. When adjusted properly it just gives my audio set up the exact solidification and embodiment I was searching for. And honestly I only have run this unit at about 1/4 volume (running in a bedroom of a 2 bedroom apt with wood for construction. So staying mindful of my surroundings is important) I’m sure this unit would have no issue giving me subtle vision distortions if I turned it up enough (because I run it directly behind my gaming chair that’s a floor rocker ) I don’t get a humming or static feedback noise but I also only run electronics like this off of quality power splitters and separate them based off of function and power rating. Also using quality cables and handling your things with care will make or break your product’s performance quality daily. Also checking your input levels (basic sound knowledge like running at 3/4 maximum possible volume to not overload or overdrive amplifiers or damage speakers due to varying Audio levels of different types of media and media quality now a days) will for sure give you a quality experience with this unit over time. Materials used are really sturdy and just flat out clean, it’s heat sync keeps it running super cool and efficient, even with continuous use over multiple hours. If I have any issues I will definitely update but something tells me this is exactly how my review will remain. Super stoked on this purchase and would definitely recommend ... show more

  • This is a wonderful addition to your music system
Size: 8 Inch
I was a little apprehensive about buying something like this without hearing it first. I have been buying stereo equipment since 1980. This 8 inch subwoofer is of the highest sonic value. $111 for this? I couldn't believe it when I heard it. It sounded kinda good when I first hooked it up with a pair of satellite speakers. After it warmed up for 20 minutes, my jaw dropped in disbelief. This is not my primary listening room or anything. It is the middle of the house where I can hear it in multiple rooms. The kitchen now sounds much better with the additional bass and the sound is really good bass for the size of the unit. I hung it on the wall under my bar with the excellent bracket included. The sound travels well and it is not muddy bass. It really impressed my drummer friend when he heard it too. If you just want something that goes thump and shakes the house, get a bigger subwoofer. If you want something with sonic accuracy and clean sharp bass, this you will like. I hope this company is successful, because they have some talented people working there, I am sure of that! ... show more

  • Not enough power, buzzing sound.
Size: 10 Inch
- THE IDEA So my plan was to find a sub to place under/behind the couch to get a tactile feel of bass for example the feel of explosions during actions scenes, the feel when Godzilla steps down. Wasn't looking for soul-destroying bass, but enough to "feel" it go thu your body. -THE BUZZ I read thru other reviews saying they hear an audible buzz due to bad electronics but thought maybe they just got unlucky, but sure enough, I ended up getting the same issues others have. it's a buzz that's a bit high-pitched you can barely hear, but enough to annoy you. It's a shame that a company knowing these subs have these types of issues does nothing about it. I MIGHT have kept it if wasn't for that buzz but I wasn't having it..especially the wife. I went the "Earthquake Sound CP8 Couch Potato Slim 8-Inch" Good LORD! More on that later. - POWER I had to crank this sub all the way up to get SOME rumble effect but it didn't feel deep enough, especially for a 10-inch. - THE SOLUTION I returned this sub and took a shot with the Earthquake Sound CP8 Couch Potato Slim 8-Inch, and let me tell you, the bass that comes out of this sub is sublime. Quality bass and hits deep when it needs it. Testing this sub with: Battle of Los Angeles and Master and Commander, just incredible. The sound of the cannons rip thru you in a good way, making you feel like you're in the scene. The crazy thing is that I can't even go past halfway through the power level on the dial. I'm at 35% and the bass is crazy good. If you're looking for a sub for tight spaces get the Earthquake sub, it's an 8-inch that sounds like a 10-12 sub. - FINAL THOUGHTS I don't mean to bash this product but I wrote this so people don't waste their time like I basically did. If Monoprice fixed the buzzing issues and added a bit more power that could sell them at a $199 price point all day. I think people will like it barely enough to keep it, thinking they can't get better. The Earthquake Sound CP8 Couch Potato Slim 8-Inch comes in at $295 and is worth every penny, get this one instead! No, I'm in no way affiliated with Earthquake, I'm just an average guy looking for a good sub to throw behind my couch. Hope this review helps somebody make a smart purchase. ... show more

  • Good sounding in a unique design
Size: 12 Inch
I purchased the 12” model and I’m quite pleased with the sound quality and the change from a large box to a small table size. It does work great against a wall. The bass does go nice and low and is very accurate. The downside is it doesn’t have a phase switch and I do not know why. So far it is working perfectly with a nice build. So great bass with a unit that offers flexible placement. For the price I recommend this highly. ... show more
