Update: the seller has great customer service and was receptive to feedback and reached out to me regarding my disappointment with the original product. They report they are taking feedback and updating the product to make it more satisfactory. Great customer service! It's fine. Instructions are obviously written by someone that knows ESL, bad spelling and word usage but shocker since it's likely made in China. As for the microscope itself it's fine... it microscopes. Biggest downside is that the stage only moves up and down. I don't know that I've ever used a microscope that doesn't have a knob to move horizontally as well, makes it much harder to locate your specimen... The instructions are also not super clear on how to use all the pieces and the phone camera mount is useless unless you have the world's tiniest phone. I have a Google pixel and that thing doesn't even come close to fitting my phone. And the Bluetooth camera thing is neat but seems kinda random since I can just hit the capture button on my phone just fine but... Ok. Doesn't really impact the use of the microscope especially since the phone mount doesn't work...overall it's fine, I got it on a great sale so I feel better about that but definitely would have opted for a microscope that moves the stage horizontally...

Microscope works very well! I bought it for my highschool homeschool students and we are very happy with it. A few things to note: it does NOT come with a storage bag as mentioned in the description. That was the main reason I purchased this one over another. Also, needs to be used near an outlet to plug in. Overall, the microscope seems sturdy and well made, just wish it also had a storage/carrying bag.

We purchased this microscope for the kids for Christmas and they are having a great time looking at things under the microscope. The kit came with some pre-prepared slides so they were able to get into the action right away. The microscope is easy to use and comes with some nice features including different lights from various angles, an adjustable diaphragm to further control the light, and a set of different magnification turrets. The previous microscope the kids had was a plastic version that didn't have many features which made looking at things a lot more difficult. The kids were able to the sample slides and then started finding things around the house (their hair, leaves, sand, etc) to investigate under magnification. The color instruction booklet that came with the microscope made learning about the device a pleasurable and engaging experience. The phone holder didn't come with any instructions and took some trial and error to figure out. Through the phone camera, it kind of works but the real magic is when seeing it with their own eyes. Overall, we are happy with the purchase and hope to get many hours of science fun from this inexpensive microscope.

I bought this for kids to play around, so i don't expect much from it and it works well for the purpose. Its easy to Setup and pictures quality is acceptable. And Its good looking with White color.
