I bought a set of these lights last year and they worked well for my seed starting. Easy to assemble and light weight. This year I purchased 3 more lights. I planned on connecting the lights so I can turn all the lights on and off with one switch. However out of the 3 new sets, 2 of the cables were not working. One cable was flattened on one end and could not be connected to a light. One cable just didn't work. I also noticed the lights aren't packaged that well. There were many scratches on the actual lights. Not sure if I'll purchase again if my seed starting station grows bigger. *** UPDATE *** Customer service reached out to me within a day of me submitting my review. They very apologetic and quickly sent me new cables. It's great when a company stands behind their product. If my seedlings do well this year, I'll likely order more of these lights to expand my growing station.

Likes: - very inexpensive - easy setup - individual bulb switches (both bulbs can be on or just one of preferred) - removable light deflectors - ability to daisy chain Dislikes: - feels somewhat fragile - power cables are intrusive - length of cord between switches and connection to lamp is shorter than preferred Overall: You get what you pay for, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great starter lamp for seedlings and recent transplants to prevent an abundance of shock from a more powerful light. While I don’t really find much use in pass-through daisy chaining the lights, having the option available is nice. Also, bulbs are included, which many T5 light products don’t.

I have been looking for some lights to use to line the shelves of a couple of 47” wire shelving units in my hydro grow room. I already have the big mama led lights in the room for the tomatoes, but these are for seedlings, small plants , and such. I ordered the 4’. It’s very light which makes it feel inexpensive. It was not packed well which led to the reflector suffering a ding or two near the end which isn’t a big deal. Also, the light bars are basically in big straws, so at the bottom (near the ding) the plastic makes a crunchy sound...which I’m not sure would impact the operation at all because it’s just the cover, but it’s a bit concerning anyway. Finally, there was a cut in the cord. I have deduced that the box was dropped causing the reflector to cut into its own cord! Amazon packed it in a box 3.5 times too big one way and several inches longer on the end! It sounds like a great warranty, but at the same time I will have to jump through hoops to get to where I should have been. That being said, I like it. Yes, it seems inexpensive, but that is actually the beauty of it. If it falls for some reason it is light enough to not do too much damage to plants underneath. It has a couple clips that go on the back with cheap jump rings attached (I would invest in rings that are more sturdy looking eventually). You could hang it from ropes immediately, and you can daisy chain them (with their own kind) with the added special connectors that are included. I plugged it in (don’t judge) after inspecting the cut in the cord to make sure it didn’t cut into wire. It was very very bright. I love that you can use one or both lights at a time. I feel like this would have been the perfect light for growing shelves. I do get frustrated at times with grow light reviews because not everyone that purchases one, gets the right one to start. It’s best to check on the needs of what you want to grow before purchasing a light. However, I have used amazon reviews to help guide me in many great purchases. I think this is a great light under the correct circumstances...if you don’t mind the shipping! Maybe order it with toilet paper or something soft? My opinions are my own. I have not benefited from my review in any way. I wish I knew how to, lol. *Update 7/23/18 After I wrote the review I emailed the seller to see what it would take to get a new cord. The seller responded within 24 hrs and drop shipped a cord from HK that just landed on my porch via DHL. It works great, the warranty is good, and I am pleased with the turn around!
