I bought this heat pillow as a surface to do smaller work, but it is too squishy for ironing smaller work (like with a mini heat press iron). I'm new to htv and cutting machines and figured it was simply supposed to be difficult to press with enough force. Then I got a different heat pillow included with a new iron and it is much firmer which is more of what you need for the firm pressing you need for htv. If you need this item for larger work and use some of the larger irons, this will work great! Using a smaller iron makes the surface puff up around your work, though and it can be difficult to get the proper pressure without slipping your htv or iron-on. It would also be an excellent piece to put inside of an item to protect any liners or htv you may place elsewhere (ie htv on both the front and back of a shirt). For the small pencil cases I was doing with smaller design work and a small iron surface, it was very tricky to get the items ironed on properly. If you use an iron that is at least 6x6 inches, then this may do the trick. Otherwise I would recommend getting a more conventional heat press pillow.

I don't know if the Cricut version of this is better, but this pad seems to move around and it doesn't necessarily retain the heat. The first time I used it, I set it on my cut mat. The heat warbled the mat (it straightened when it cooled) and it was disappointing. It also gets pretty hot to the touch. The Cricut heat press gets VERY HOT. I ended up sewing a thin piece of cork board between two pieces of felt to place under the pad so it doesn't damage furniture or my cutting mat. It's not worth the extra step.

Perfect accessory for my Cricut Easypress 2. The easy press mat 12x12 works perfectly for the Circuit Easypress 2. The heat from the Easypress does not transfer through at all-at least not in any of my experiences. So there's no need to worry about damaging a countertop surface or anything of the such.

Easy to use not as thick as I thought it would be. Nice appearance and the name embossed on it makes it look really professional. But upon using I realized the lettering begin to cone off. Also using the heat press you don’t have enough of the pad to get the pressure you may want. If your doing something light them this will be perfect.

I used it for one iron-on project - the tote bag that came with my Cricut Easy Press 2. Unfortunately the table underneath the heat mat was hot to the touch, meaning this didn't block as much heat as I'd hoped. I don't dare trust it on a wooden table or laminate countertop would a towel or something underneath. Maybe I should have bought the name brand.

So glad I bought this over spending a ton of money on a cricut brand. I have the cricut easy press so this comes in handy for all my projects. I definitely recommend this product over spending a ton of money on a brand name heat press mat.
