I bought some of this gripe water before my son was born just to have on hand based on recommendations of several girls on YouTube. I'm so glad I did because it has been a life saver. My son doesn't always burp really well and the gas upsets his tummy. When I give him the gripe water it takes a minute for it to take effect, but then he calms down and is able to burp.     • Lifesaver but thick liquid causes choking - dilute before use!

Life saver for our baby who has severe reflux. He is on Zantac as well but that is only doing so much and we try to not give him more serious medication. We don't give him the full dose (5 ml up to every 4 hours) but we adjust it on time of day (4 ml for his night feed before the long bedtime stretch, another 4 ml in the morning for his first feed when he eats a lot and otherwise spits up and cries badly, 2-3 ml every 4ish hours during the day when things are much easier for him). The ingredients were approved by our ped for long term treatment so that gave us peace of mind too. If he cries from the acid reflux (crying and unlatching while feeding) this helps within 2-5 minutes usually and he relaxes and is fine. The only issue is that this is rather thick as a liquid and he chokes relatively easily if it is not diluted with a bit of milk or formula. We have never used the dropper as that makes choking even more likely but the MediFrida but even with that and going REALLY slow and only pushing a bit in while he actively suckles he choked sometimes. Oddly enough the choking with this can occur 1-2 minutes after the last drop was pushed into his mouth, so it must be really sitting and coating. So I would urge you to use a MediFrida and dilute with milk or formula 1:1 or put it straight into a bottle with milk or formula if you bottle feed. ... show more

My 2 month old was getting colicky and has bad gas. This is a lifesaver! We add some to his bottles (it says not to on the instructions, but that’s only because it may not work as well, but it still works for us). But I’ve also given it to him directly from the syringe and it works great too. I don’t understand the other complaints of it being too thick, it’s not thick at all, and as long as you give it slowly in little bits at a time, it should be fine. ... show more

I love gripe water for my son. It has been a lifesaver to stop his hiccuping instantly and calm down his upset tummy. I usually get it at walmart, but decided i would get it here. Its easier for me to have it shipped with him being a newborn. However, i bought this cause its a double pack and when i opened my box, the gripe water is already open and it has a stopper and the unopened syringe laying in the box. The bottles still have the plastic seal around the caps so i’m not worried about the gripe water. But i am missing a syringe. The stopper that was in the box doesn’t even go with this product (pictured). For every bottle of gripe water you are supposed to get an unopened syringe and new stopper. Now one of my bottles will have to be used with his old syringe and bottle stopper! Also, they should put that its 8 oz (2 4 oz bottles) cause when reading it, it seemed like i was getting 2x8 oz bottles, when u are getting 2x4 oz bottles. ... show more

Am giving it one star because it always choke my baby, I tried giving it slowly but it still choked her, she nearly lost her breath. I tried several ways but she still choke on it. The only way she can take it safely is to add it to her bottle.

I'm grateful gripe water exists during my time in motherhood. It works fast and works well. My daughter can have some pretty nasty gas and seeing her in pain just hurts my heart so we give her a dose. In a matter of minutes she calms down and she's back to talking and smiling. You forget why she was fussing and enjoy your happy baby then she passes the gas without any effort or pain and you remember how grateful you are for gripe water. If your child is like ours, she loves to push out anything but formula for breastmilk so drop some in an ounce of formula and your child will get it all. I highly recommend gripe water. My husband didn't have this stuff when he had his first two kids 20 years ago and he hated how they suffered. This stuff is a necessity! ... show more

Tried this since my baby was fussy and had just been fed with a diaper change, he was tired but was fussy and wouldn't go to sleep. I first tried the Zarbee's Gripe Water that has Ginger, Fennel, Chamomile, and Lemon Balm in it and he HATED it and spit it out, it was disgusting, and smelled HORRIBLE. I then tried the Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water and he loved it and took it easily, and fell asleep after only 15 minutes and stayed asleep for a while. Will definitely keep using the Mommy's Bliss only, it's worth paying the couple extra dollars for it. Love it, and definitely highly recommend this over any other brand. ... show more
