  • Liquid chrome marker
Size: 4mm
Easy to use but doesn’t allow for more one coat. Tip could be broader too.

  • Looks like chrome!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I use this for 3D resin printed miniatures. Tip: If you find that it looks dry and dull in places, if you go over those places again, not only does it shine right up, but it blends well with the surrounding area.

  • Sent too many
Size: 4mm
The product was great, however my order got mixed up and two more pens are on the way by mistake.

  • Make sure you use it quickly. Doesn't last.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Make sure you're getting a fresh pen. The paint inside will eventually turn into a watery silver over time. Use it up quick.

  • Pretty good at rechroming car logos
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
covered up the missing chrome from the logo on my steering wheel pretty well, it’s hard to tell unless you look really close or from straight forward, i got the smallest mm pen and learned it looked the best if you painted it slow with tiny dots so it would be even and not streak but it’s more obvious if you over-do it on small sections so i recommend a few layers ... show more

  • Works great! Affordable solution to restoring "chrome look" to small plastic toys
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
This will get your toys looking ALMOST as good as new. If you don't want to work with expensive, dangerous chemicals, this is so far your best bet that I've found for small chrome style projects... I bought this pen after careful research and looking for ages for an affordable solution to restoring "silver chrome" surfaces to old toys (in this case, some heavily worn vintage Kenner "R2-D2" Star Wars figures). As many others online have suggested, after covering a generous surface of the plastic toy, I left it untouched on a shelf in the open air for 1 week (actually 8 days) before handling. It retained its shiny, mirror-reflective surface (far superior to the mere "silver" spray paint, acrylic paint and paint markers out there that don't look like chrome). It's not 100% perfect, the actual aluminum coating on "chrome toys" is somewhat shinier and brighter and I expect has a harder coat, being bonded directly to the plastic in most cases. I took the advice of others in working quickly, not touching the clean & dried surface while working, and not applying a second coat while it was drying. Over 1 week later, I can touch it (with clean hands) and it doesn't immediately dull as others have indicated happens if you touch it before 1 week. Overall it works pretty well. I would recommend though that the surface underneath should be as clean and paint-free as possible before you begin. I had previously painted one of these figures myself and while the reflective "chrome" coat looks beautiful, you can see the imperfections from my earlier brush strokes underneath. Now I only wish there were other versions of this, say in GOLD (then I could touch up C3PO!). I see others have tried "mixing" this chrome pen with acrylic paints to get other colors but the results have all been dull, in which case you might as well just use some gold acrylic paint, as you immediately lose the chrome effect. I have not tried applying a clear coat, as I'm told most clear coats dull the chrome effect. Update: I have had it recommended to me to use "Liquitex professional high gloss varnish" as a clear coat AFTER the liquid chrome has completely cured. I acquired a jar of this varnish (it was quite expensive, $18 for an 8 oz bottle at my local Hobby Lobby store) but have not yet attempted to see how it looks. The bottle says it is "permanent" so I will probably test it on a piece of plastic scrap at some point and post results, which of course will take more than a week to complete! ... show more

  • CHROME MARKERS ARE NOT ALL THE SAME, plus a tip
Size: 4mm
(UPDATE: It seems like this stuff gets the best shine if it dries slowly. My flashlight reflector has a better mirror effect if I immediately place tape over one end and leave it sitting upside down on wax paper and leave it there several hours. Not sure how to achieve this with stuff not so easily closed up, but definitely don't try to accelerate it.) They looked like they were all the same thing under different "brands" so my first choice was whichever was cheaper. It worked better than I expected, but for my second pen I took a gamble on this Molotow. I don't know if it's better ink or a better feed mechanism, but this one works better. It's much easier to get it to flow out smoothly. It doesn't require as much constant "pumping" and I can cover a larger area with a continuous smooth coat. The result is smoother and brighter. I notice this one actually says "made in Germany" on the pen. Not like when Chinese pens claim to be made with German ink. ... show more

  • If you get the right size ... ordered 1mm twice
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
YOU CANNOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT THROUGH AMAZON - so if you get the wrong tip like I did TWICE! you will have issues. The product using a 2mm tip was special for me as I am working on 1/64 cars, but once I applied it the chrome look was really effective. Of course I could only put it on a few things as the tip was too big for much. This will look great as long as you don't touch the result, I do not recommend this for items that get handled often. Sealing it with polyurethane is a mix of great and evil, sometimes it is exactly what you want, or loses its mirror like finish. ... show more
