Far and away the warmest coat I've ever owned, thanks to the 90% down filling (not that poly fluff stuff.) Plenty long, and I'm 5'9" Fur trim is also great quality; I don't anticipate it matting down. I ordered an XL, as per the size charts...thought it was too tight on my booty, so I also ordered an XXL. There's a pretty big difference between those two sizes, and I was swimming in the XXL. Tried the XL on again and realized it's actually just way too big in the waist. *disclaimer: I am disproportionately small-waisted and big-bootied, so this may not be an issue for others. Quality of the coat is impressive enough that I plan to get it altered, rather than looking for a different one.

I love this coat! It’s cozy and warm but very light weight. Everyone said to size up in their reviews but I think my regular size would have fit me perfectly well. Although I really don’t regret sizing up because winter clothes are sometimes bulky under a coat. I love the length too as it keeps my legs warm as well. All around great coat and beautiful fabric and perfect purple color. Love, Love, Love It! 😍

I bought two very similar down coats for comparison but ended up keeping the other and returned this one. Because the designs are entirely identical (down/feather % too), and I wore the other one in the Chicago snow and loved it, I'll just comment on the differences. Size is accurate. I bought my normal size and can wear a normal sweater underneath and don't feel too tight. Double zippers fit easily when trying to link them. Loved the tight cuff to prevent wind entering and adequate sleeve length. Length is mid calf, great coverage even if you don't wear long boots. The reason I returned is strictly anesthetics: 1. The plum color is lighter with more sheer, not the deep plum as in pictures. 2. The shell fabric is soft to touch, which is very comfortable to hold but on you it creates a chunkier look, together with the sheer. As a result I picked the other coat with a sleeker dark plum look. However, if the color or fabric don't bother you, I would definitely recommend this jacket.

It was time to purchase a winter coat that was toasty warm and longer to keep legs warmer. I put it on and it felt comfortably warmer than my old coat. It is lightweight and machine washable. Zip down front and buttons to close over it, but pockets are not deep; each side pocket will fit a single glove. The zipper chest high pockets are not necessarily in a handy location nor are they large enough to fit anything, but loose change. The only reason I bought this coat is for its warmth and length; is machine washable and will dry on a cool setting. The fur trim is suppose to attach to the buttons on the top of the hood, BUT my first order was without button holes or elastic loops to connect it with. A return was made and promptly received a replacement. I quickly checked the fur trim and saw it had small elastic loops connected in three places (one for each end and one for the center) to attach to the hood. The hood has several buttons across the top edge, but not enough loops to strongly secure the fur trim and it gaps a lot. However, I have decided to keep the coat and sew more loops onto the fur trim to make it more secure. At least there were loops on the hood this time around just not enough for all the buttons. Quality control is not up to par on either of the two coats, nor was the replacement as well packaged as the first order was. It was in two zippy bags and the zipper had come undone on one end, but not enough for the coat to escape from the shipping bag. It could have become a mishap in shipping and cost me further delay. The zippy bag should have been taped closed as the zipper was a cheap plastic one or put the entire shipment in a box or a real shipping bag like the first one came in. I do like the color of my coat, the fur trim is pretty, and it feels good while wearing it. I don't know how long it will last as none of the zippers are quality made and I'll have to do an upgrade at some point. Some of the sewing threads and fabric ends were in long strings and would interfere with the zipper, so a scissors come in handy to snip that off in advance. I suggest to anyone who buys this coat that you do your own quality control prior to throwing any shipping bags out as you might desire to return.

I wasn't sure at first. I wanted a "puffer" with a big furry hood. I did not want to look like a big puffy blob. I chose this coat because it had the big furry hood I wanted and it had the shirring detail on the back. I thought this would help to add a little definition. I also chose the purple. I verified with my husband that I was not channeling my inner Barney, he assured me that it was fine. (He would have told me the truth if I was). I wear a large in shirts and such so I chose a large coat. It fits wonderfully. There is enough room to wear a sweater or hoodie underneath. The sleeves are nice and long and the cuffs are perfect. All my zippers and hood buttons were fine. Quality was fine, no issues.
