The media could not be loaded. If you are deciding whether this clay might be useful, buy the smaller size. I bought the 1.1 lb size, and I don't know if I will ever use it all. Pros: light, soft, fun to play with, has about an hour of work time before it starts to harden too much to manipulate. Would be fun for kids. Air dries after about 48 hours. Cons: a bit too soft, and the sculpted object will not hold its shape until about after an hour, so it's difficult to support a piece in that time if it has vertical elements. It also sort of squishes down if it has any substantial weight to it. When fully hardened, after about 48 hours, it is too fragile for many projects. I've seen images of flowers with thin petals made with this, and I would not recommend using this clay for that kind of sculpture because the thinner it is, the more likely it will break. While it's advertised as being for use in making "cosplay" , it breaks very easily, so I don't think it would be good for things like ears, or anything that could stick out and be liable to bang on a doorway or another cosplayer. It might be useful for chunkier cosplay parts, but I wouldn't use it for very large items, like masks, or ornate armor pieces because it would be tremendously disappointing to spend hours making something only for it to break if you accidentally knock it off a table. You can see from the video how easy it is to break, also, it's easy to leave marks on the fully cured item. Final rating: While it appears to have more cons than pros, this is in reference to my intention of being able to build cosplay pieces, which I don't think this clay is really suited for, except for specific circumstances, I gave it four stars, because I can see it being fun for kids to play with. It's easy to use, doesn't require baking, and it's fun to squish around in your hands because of its soft texture. ... show more

This product was very fun and easy to use. Came in a sealed tight tub which kept the foam clay smooth. When pulling it out of the tub, it felt like slime. Very easy to work with your hands and became foamy after working with it for a bit. Once applied it started to stiff a little but was able to work with it by adding a dab of water. Holds up well and stays where put. Once dried, it was easy to apply paint which stuck without running. Okay, so a couple things to address. I'm reviewing the bulk (3.3lb) gray foam clay, while also comparing it to the small tub of white foam clay I got previously, so it's not coming from pure opinion. These products turned out to be very different, the bulk gray left lacking as a result. Pros: the gray starts out like a proper foam clay. Consistent texture and color, flexible, able to use on multiple surfaces. Sticky, but it eventually took detail well. Cons: it deflated. A lot. Like a flattened piece of roadkill, this clay evaporated all its water and there was very little foam in there to keep it at the original shape it was formed into. It took days to dry, and the end results were a flat loss of texture to a once beautiful, intricate design. The bulk gray foam clay has far more water in it than the tub of white I initially ordered. Meaning when charging by the pound, the pounds are more water than clay when buying the bulk version. And after putting in the work on my design and seeing the deflated results, I feel really disenchantment not only with the product, but with the brand overall. This has pushed me to look elsewhere, and I've already found a better priced, less watery foam clay (less watery on their small batches and their bulk), which I will be ordering from now on. I'm not here to advertise the product I found or trash this one, just to point out that there is more than enough competition where if a customer feels ripped off, they're not going to stick around for it to happen again. ... show more

Easy to mold and use. Once dry you can cut it easily. It makes a dense foam, if you try using heat tools or a dremal, it will be hard to add details. However, it’s easy to add more of the foam clay to dry pieces and they will bond together very well.
