Following the instructions I washed and air-dried the pillow cases while waiting the required 48 hours for the pillow material to fully recover its shape and size. These are huge and very firm pillows but they are adjustable meaning you can remove or add filler material to get the best loft for your head/neck. I removed enough fill to make another pillow! Slept like a dream on these pillows. As one who has had prior experience with these types of pillows, a few recommendations. First, take out as much fluff as you need to make it comfortable. (I took out almost enough for another pillow.) Afterwards, the pillows still have way enough for support. Save this fluff. Later down the line, the stuffing may break down and need more stuffing to firm up again. Not very much smell to these pillows at all. They all have some slight odor, so just let them air out a little. All pillows of this type I've had do have a slight odor. Are these pillows cooling? No, but they're not excessively hot. I am one who sleeps on a super firm mattress, so these pillows are perfect comfort for me. They are not soft, but they provide firm support. If you prefer a firm pillow, I can highly recommend these. ... show more

So, all in all they’re really good pillows. I got the king sized pack. I love the design and texture of the material. Only draw back is that the outer case is really sensitive and easily ripped. You may need to remove some of the filling because it comes really stuffed and may a bit uncomfortable having you’re neck raised that high. Good news, you came make another pillow out of the stuffing. * Warning * do not machine wash the outer case of the pillows, it’ll fall apart, very sensitive material. Please don't worry about the reviews that complain about the pillow being too full and hard. I am mystified as to how they do not follow the instructions which explain that the pillow unzips and the user can remove the fill to get custom firmness and support. This is a very comfortable and supportive pillow. It is very similar to a well known TV brand pillow with an owner that I just can't give money to. So glad there are fantastic options like this. Love this pillow. I am a pillow puncher, slept with 3 pillows at a time to get comfortable. This pillow NO punching, and if you feel the need flip it over.only draw back I need another cooling pillow case so I can wash one and put the other on right away. Finally getting some rest thank you 😊 🙏 ☺️

I was going for a soft but firm pillow. As soon as i fluffed & washed them they were big (which was great) but it stayed that way. Both my husband and I have tried breaking them in, but we dont use them much as they are so firm that it was causing neck pains to try and sleep on high firm pillows that didnt flatten at all. Very high quality case and fill. Right up there with my Purple pillows. Love the sink and heaviness of it. Just right. Took like 1/4 the fill out of it for me. I also took the core out of my Purple pillow and replaced it with this core that I wrestled in there. Might be a game changer!
