replaced an old ceiling fan that was messing up. Taking it down was difficult enough. I had two white wires and a black wire. I put black to black, and white to any white, and the green to the other white. It worked out. overall it took about 3 hours. but it's bright AF. So far I'm glad I made this purchase, but I did not see a dimmer switch with the package, so I can't say anything about the "remote" qualities. ... show more

Since they are rated for bathroom, laundry room applications I assume they will withstand outdoor but out of any direct weather exposure. Used for closet lighting. Replaced a similar led fixture purchased from Lowes that failed after two years. One of the two screws supplied for installation on j box had excess metal in the Phillips head preventing use.
