This bed is exactly what I was looking for for moving into my college apartment. The original box it came is was a bit heavy so help may be required to getting it into the room but opening the box and the mattress from the packaging was a breeze. It expanded right away as soon as I cut the seal. I would suggest getting it into place or at least in the room before unboxing as it is a bit unwieldy once out of the box and "inflated". So far, it has been comfortable to sleep on. Pretty soft around the edges and you do sink a bit when on the bed but being in college and having low expectations, it does its job well. I did let it sit out for 72 hours before sleeping on it like suggested which might have helped (a corner was slooped when opened but it expanded out during the 72 hours). There was no chemical smell either. I'm not a picky person when it comes to beds so this could be the right fit for you if you're in a similar situation (for reference I'm 5'3" and 130lbs)

5 stars if you like a soft mattress. I bought the queen size and it was here in 2 days. It was a beast to get out of the box by myself as it is very heavy and wrapped in sticky plastic that sticks to the box. I ended up cutting the whole box open. It sure does pop up the second you unleash it from its roll so watch out. It immediately fluffed up to 11 inches. I ordered the 12 inch so I thought it was pretty impressive. It has been 2 days and it hasn't really budged but I expected that based on reviews. My son's mattress previously was about 7 inches tops so this is still a huge step up. He is in love with it and said it's very comfortable. He's about 140 pounds. I am about 270 pounds and definitely sink in more than he does however, not extremely far. I have a firm mattress so I may not be able to judge. As others have stated in their reviews, the squishiness reaches the edges of the mattress so you can basically just roll out of bed. It did seem a smidge shorter than a standard queen frame but it's not noticeable. The picture is deceiving because the frame is black but it is very tall. Would I purchase this for myself given my weight? No. But for my son, absolutely for the price. You can't beat it.

I was impressed with the ease with which the mattress unrolled. We bought a king, and moving it is a two man job when it’s rolled up. But the effort is worth it. When I sat on the edge of the bed it seemed soft, but once you get into bed, you realize that under the cushy top, you’re still getting great support—and I’m over 300 pounds. My previous bed was firm, but I sleep on my side and it was killing my shoulders. The new bed is great—support without being too hard. Just the right amount of soft. And you can’t beat the price!

This was the first bed in a box I have purchased from Amazon. Arrived quickly, even before it said it would (a definite plus) packed well. Now when the delivery guy just hoisted it up on his shoulder and set it on my porch, I thought how heavy can it really be? I found out pretty quickly! Now I’m not a weakling but I struggled getting the box up a small step into my house! I admit, after that I dragged it to my bedroom! Set up was easy. Unboxed it. Unrolled the mattress. This is where I must share a warning of caution….. When you are unrolling the plastic from the air suctioned plastic…. Make sure your pants are secured and that the rolling doesn’t catch the bottom of your pants. Needless to say, I did not. My pajama pant legs got caught up in the rolling unbeknownst to me, as I was excitedly pulling the plastic and I got de-pants! After fixing the breezy situation, I had a good laugh. The mattress started filling up even before removing the air suctioned plastic. I quickly removed that. Filled out pretty nicely after about 12 hours and finished filling out by 72 hours. I do admit that my partner and I did have to sleep on it about 14 hours after setting it up, as we had no where else to lay our weary heads. It held up well. It did continue to fill out for the rest of the 72 hours. No problem there. The bed is more on the softer side but firm enough. As someone who has hip and back problems from sleeping on poor quality mattresses in the past, I was relieved to wake up without the morning pains! It feels like a nice hug that engulfs and supports you at the same time. The only cons we have experienced, and I waited a month and a half to write this, is the sides and corners are really not very supportive. Sitting on the edge of the bed is out of the question, unless you have your tushy way back on the bed itself. Otherwise you’re getting yeeted onto the floor. The other con is it is not motion isolating… at all. I can feel every move my partner makes when he rolls over or gets in or out of bed. In fact when he gets in bed, I swear it’s like the force is drawing me closer into him! I love him but I need my space sometimes lol Side note, if you are putting this on a platform bed frame, invest in some stoppers. The mattress will slide…. Constantly. Amazon does sell them and I purchased some that had smiley faces that work very well. Other than those cons I would recommend this mattress. But I will be looking for a different one when the time comes to replace it, one with more support sides and motion isolation.

Day two with the mattress.received on Sunday Easy to unbox. Be warned. Be careful when cutting the plastic as it jumps right out. Fluffed up great throughout the day.although it’s not at 12 inches. I measured Monday night and it’s measuring 10 inches. I did sleep on it on day one. It is comfortable. Medium support. I think I would have preferred medium firm. The edges sink in. A lot. When you sit in the edge. You can feel the coils on the sides as well That is why this did not get 5 stars. I can’t recall having a mattress that ever did that. I really want to like it. Will try it out for a couple weeks before returning it if needed.

This mattress is very a comfortable high quality hybrid. Especially for the ridiculously low price. Heads up when opening, it "popped" out of the plastic like something in a cartoon! We had it on video but laughed so hard we accidently erased it :( All in all the mattress is a great buy it certainly NEEDS a riser or boxed spring. Unless you want to feel like a teen again. We put ours on our 10 inch high Steele bed frame without a boxed spring. it's a bit low but we will see how we like it. We are thinking about adding a firmer topper too. In all fairness it will be 3 to 4 weeks for our body's to adjust.
