Like most people I was hesitant to buy a bed off Amazon, especially one I would have to put together. Would it be quality? Would it be a pain? I did some research and the reviews of this bed were really good so I took a chance. So glad I did. There are some important notes I'd like to make.. one the color is not really off white. If I had to guess it's a very, very pale grey color but still very pretty. Two...it says 30 minutes to put together...not quite but close. It took about 45 minutes mainly due to some of the parts not being labeled but the instructions are easy to follow. Third some of the wood was rough and I almost got a few splinters but a little sanding later all good. The bolts used are super thick and seem sturdy. The tool that comes with it is next level. No awkward Allen wrench with this bed. Once the frame is in place it seems super sturdy. The metal felt light and I was nervous but once assembled it was strong. The headboard was tricky to attach but not horrible. I'm sure if I didn't assemble it alone it would have gone faster but all in all not bad. There was a slight creaking sound but I'm not entirely sure it's the bed...could be the new mattress. Only time will tell. If it is the bed it's possibly the slats making the sound. I screwed the bolts in so tight there is no way I can loosen them. For a bed frame off of Amazon this seems to be a good one. Long term I'm not sure it will or can hold up but only time will tell If you want something inexpensive that is sturdy, easy to assemble and looks good then definitely get this bed. ... show more

I purchased the mattress, platform bed, and comforter for a guest room in our vacation home. The platform bed came with this very handy tool which helped greatly (in place of the standard Allen wrench)! It made screwing the pieces together a breeze. I was able to put this together by myself while my husband wrestled with another bed in the house. It was very easy and the directions were helpful, but not all that necessary. (NOT saying don't follow them...just saying if you lay everything out you can determine how it goes together.) It really is a pretty bed, and very sturdy. Assembly was straight forward. The instructions are lacking in clarity and detail. Still, it’s fairly easy to assemble. Everything needed is packed INSIDE the back of the headboard. That is VERY SMART DESIGN and much appreciated by me. This is a rock solid bed. No issues with that. But, please don’t confuse it with “lux”…. It isn’t. It’s perfect for a guest room or a dorm or ….. but don’t think that it is a “lux” bed. Functionally is amazing. Fabric, design and details that would make this “lux” are missing. Value for the money is OUTSTANDING. It’s utterly perfect for our guest room. I would not want this in our primary bedroom though. ... show more

In a complicated and unplanned turn of events I found myself needing to swap out my queen sized bed for a full sized one. I was not financially prepared to shell out big bucks on a bed. This concerned me because I believed that I'd have to do just that to get a bed of good quality. After searching notable furniture stores on the internet and finding nothing that was at a comfortable price point for me I decided to look on Amazon as a last resort. I thought, "What kind of Crackerjack prize furniture am I going to come across on Amazon? I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this bed on Amazon. The price was really reasonable and it looked pretty decent. I wondered what the catch was. After reading several reviews, I ordered the bed, but I was still skeptical. The bed came on time (early in fact). All of the parts came zipped inside the back of the headboard, which is brilliant. The instructions were super-easy to follow pictures. My overthinking caused me to take longer assembling the bed than it should have. Had I not overthought, I could have assembled the bed in 30 minutes - maybe less. There is a simplicity about the look of the frame that caused me more skepticism. I am a full-figured woman. I just kept wondering how such a simple looking design could support a mattress with me on it and not fall down like a house of cards. Well, I've been sleeping on the bed for a couple weeks now and it is wonderful. Super sturdy. In the 2 weeks that I've been sleeping and sitting on it and turning over in it, I have not heard a single, solitary squeak or creak...Oh, yeah, I am 54 years old and I was able to put the bed together by myself. I strongly recommend purchasing this bed, especially if you're balling on a budget. Those are thr pros. My only con is that the headboard is not as tufted in real life as it is depicted in the pic on Amazon. But for the price, it looks just fine. ... show more

    • Great frame, but doesn't work with basic adjustable base

The headboard and frame are very nice and, if I had a regular bed, would be very easy to put together. However, I have the Sleepy's basic adjustable bed base and even with the purchase of a "universal bracket" (which also doesn't quite fit) the bed frame doesn't fit without major modifications. The headboard does attach to the brackets I purchased separately, however, it's quite loose. If you have the basic adjustable base I suggest forgoing the full frame and just purchasing a headboard. ... show more

I’m happy with how sturdy the bed frame is and love the fact that there is a sneaky zipper pocket in the back of the headboard so you can store the hardware there for when you need to move again. Looks nice, but headboard and side pieces had a weird chemical smell out of the box. It took about an hour to assemble. So far it seems stable enough, although the wood slats feel very flimsy so I’ll give it 4 stars for that and the smell.
