  • Tiny But Effective! Very Handy and Exactly What I Needed
Color: Black Size: Small Size
I love it. I ordered this with a specific need in mind. I have terrible cell signal inside my house so I bought a cell phone signal booster, but a small one with limited range. So I am constantly putting my phone into 'test mode' so I can read the actual decibels of my signal (more accurate than the signal bars), so then I walk around, find a spot with a good signal, set the phone down in that exact spot and use speakerphone (so that way I'm not moving the phone around with my body and changing the signal, it's very touchy). Ah, life in the woods! So I realized a little stand like this is a must since it's on speakerphone almost entirely when I'm home and I also want it propped up so I can monitor the signal strength as I talk. I almost ordered one by "Amazon Basics" which looked decent but decided on this one instead for two reasons: 1. It was cheaper, and 2. It has an adjustable angle and I don't believe the other one did. The little silicone strip in this tray is crucial. Before I ordered this stand I was propping my phone on all kinds of "makeshift stands" from scotch tape dispensers to framed photos, a variety of things. The main reason why nothing worked was because the phone would slide off. I even tried padding it with a paper towel (yeah, I'm that cheap!) but that just got in the way, I needed a proper stand. So the silicone strip on this little stand holds it in place perfectly. I like that I can change the angle. It will hold the device vertically or horizontally. I noticed the description recommends using your phone horizontally for best results and I can see why. The phone when vertical is a little tippy (side to side I mean. Not the stand but the phone itself rocks to the side with a light touch, when on the stand vertically). This could be easily fixed if they added a second silicone strip on the back; the part it leans up against. Mine hasn't tipped off the stand yet, but a good bump would probably knock it off the side if the phone is in the tall (vertical) position. That being said, I'm an adult, no kids around, so I use mine vertically with care and it's fine. One bonus: The description also says that it won't work with phones or tablets "with cases", presumably because the case makes it too thick to fit in the VERY slim tray. I will say though, my Kindle Fire HD 8 WITH the Amazon case (the fabric kind that says "Amazon" on the lower right corner) DOES fit on this. So that's a bonus. So now I want to order another one of these stands just for the Kindle (the Amazon case technically has a flap that acts as a stand but it's less than reliable). I should note however, that Amazon Fire case is very thin, so many if not most other cases would probably not fit, the tray is quite narrow. The stand is tiny too, you could easily put it in a pocket, purse or bag. I ordered a book at the same time as this stand and thought they forgot to send the stand because the box was tightly wrapped around the book, but sure enough, it was just so tiny and flat that it fit right in the flat book box. ... show more

  • Sometimes it's the little things that make life so much better 🥰
Color: Blue Size: Small Size
I originally bought one of these (in black) back in April of 2018. It was functional and sturdy and worked like a charm. But I only had one phone stand and - at the time - two tweens, plus a heck of a lot of devices in the house, so it was constantly getting stolen by one of my kiddos, leaving me stuck propping my phone up against weird objects on slippery surfaces. I got annoyed, came back here to buy another one in July of 2018, and then got sucked in by Amazon's suggestions of similar products and ended up purchasing something else instead. I mean, why pay $5.99 (the price back in 2018) for one phone stand, when I could get eight of them for $8.99, right? I figured it would be a win, especially with the kidlets constantly stealing mine, and it worked........... sort of. The thing is, those eight cheap phone stands WERE cheap. They were flimsy as all heck, came apart easily, and were just generally a little bit annoying to use. But they worked for what they were, and phone stands are not a hill I have any interest in dying on, so I scattered them throughout the house and got on with life (but always tried to make sure the original black Moko stand stayed in MY room, lol!) And then, just the other day, at the very start of 2023, the unthinkable happened. My Moko stand got... annoying. It still works. It's still sturdy and functional and all around solid. But - and I 100% blame my kids for this - somehow the two tiny little plastic bits that hold the stand into the designated angled slot have gotten snapped off. Now, it still works and even still mostly stays in place, but it's no longer giving me quite the same full sturdy, solid support it's been offering for the last four and a half years. (Side note, those other eight flimsy stands? All broken and lost over the last four years. Not a single one is left.) Long story short.... okay, long review even longer 🤣 - I decided to splurge (lol) and get a new one! The price has gone up to a whopping $7.99, so for almost the same amount I paid for eight stands back in 2018, I'm getting ONE... and I could not be happier 😊 It arrived this morning, and is PERFECT. Totally solid, totally sturdy, holds my phone or my Kindle up exactly as needed, and even though it's just a tiny little phone stand and not, like, the answer to world peace, it's literally the best part of today so far and is one of those tiny things that makes life that much happier. I also got the blue color this time, which is lovely, instead of black. I will say that the shade of blue on the product page is a bit brighter/lighter than the one that actually arrived. I don't mind at all, and have no idea if that's a my-screen-resolution issue or a slight misrepresentation of color in the product photo, but I DO know that I adore this little stand, and as much as phone stands are something I never imagined having product loyalty about before, I do now, and will be coming back to get this same brand again if (when 🤣 ) my kids - now both teenagers - try to steal this one. ... show more

  • Well worth the price, but a tad short for tablets in portrait mode
Color: Black Size: Small Size
Evidently, most tablet stands are overpriced. This stand may not have a premium, shiny metallic sheen like others do, but it still looks sleek and is highly portable. The stand has a flat, rectangular bottom, allowing it to stand easily on beds and carpets. The stand is compact and easy to fold into about 6 discrete viewing angles. These small notches are a little on the tiny side, which makes it seem less secure, but I believe that's a psychological thing. Some of these notches are labeled with their viewing angle. The bottom of the front face, where your tablet/phone rests, is padded to prevent scratching and slipping. A substantial lip rises upwards and acts as a hard stop to prevent your device from sliding out. However, this lip does is not padded. Additionally, it's set fairly far out in order to accommodate a range of device thicknesses, which means that many people will not get a pleasing fit for their devices. The stand is very short in order to make it pocket sized. This means that using a tablet in portrait mode can be a little dangerous. Simply setting a tablet on the stand and watching a video is fine, but if you need to touch the tablet, you might knock it over. In landscape mode, there's no issue. ... show more
