I've purchased two. My experience with the first was so good I bought another when I wore it out. The first purchase was in May 2019. It is now June 2022 and it finally wore out and needed to be replaced. I'd say three years of HEAVY DAILY USE and it held on for three years ? Sign me up. When I first purchased it, I was like no WAY is this flimsy thing going to hold up to the brutal wear and tear by a remote graphic designer. I expected my computer to tilt a bit when I typed, or it to be a bit off balance or straight up break. I was sooo wrong, this is my absolute favorite product I have ever purchased for my home office or computer. It stays put and when I furiously type the computer doesn't wobble at all. You can see that my old one (grey) started to separate from the seam. Other than that, looks absolutely brand new. The sticky did not wear out (although it hasn't been moved since I put it on the first time) and it removed clean with zero residue. The new one (blue) looks slick. Feels really sturdy and works just like the old one. The new one has air holes, which I appreciate. Since I use some heavy programs my MacBook Pro tends to get hot, so maybe this will help. I will say, I am not sure how well this will work with other brands of laptops. It is going to depend on how the notebook is balanced. Apple tends to take a lot of care in making sure their laptops are very well balanced. My friend bought this on my recommendation (he had an inexpensive windows notebook, same size as my MacBook Pro) and when he used the keyboard it wobbled a bit, only because the heavier components were in one of the back corners, making it unstable. 2 years after and its still working perfeclty fine. Perfect height for video calls (better camera angle) & very durable, i've been using it every day ever since. If your on the move and using your laptop in multiple locations, this has its place. I'm concerned with the long term use of it. I'm hoping it proves to be resilient over time. If you're stationary at a desk long term, I would probably choose another type of stand. I'll give this a 8 out of 10. One point off for feeling slightly flimsy ( althogh it does work) and 1 point off because when my laptop top screen is open and upright, its prone to tipping backwards when you come in contact with your laptop in certain ways. It just feels a little unbalanced. I did unstick the stand and reinstalled it a little further back on the base to try to elevate that unbalanced feeling. However it didn't help. ... show more

Liked the form factor and had previous good experience with Moft. Unfortunately this stand just doesn't work for my (14") laptop. The stand is only barely stable when the laptop is in full contact with the table (so not even fully on the stand!) whether at the lowest or highest settings. The lowest setting is also not quite "sturdy" feeling - it requires weight to push it down and if you shift your laptop at all it'll spring back up to the higher setting. Even at the higher setting, which feels like the intended use case as it's a genuine struggle to manage to fold the little flap in place until the weight of the laptop can keep it down, it wobbles like crazy when you type or mouse. God forbid you shift the laptop at all. I planned to use it with an external keyboard anyways, but for any users that were planning on utilizing the Moft for better ergonomics while typing...this isn't it. Overall it's just not acceptable to me for $30. It's a thin piece of what feels like plain foam (even though the materials are listed as vegan leather and fiberglass - I don't disbelieve that, but the product itself just feels cheap) and seeing other users have issues with longevity and the stand not holding itself up after half a year or so as well as battery bloat from lack of proper airflow, I don't feel comfortable using this anymore. Great concept but falls a bit short in execution imo. PROS + thin, light, and folds flat + relatively intuitive + suspect it will travel well due to its barely there thinness and light weight - it can easily slip into a sleeve along with the laptop CONS - does not support my laptop even though mine is over an inch under the max dimensions listed (and isn't even particularly heavy at 1.6kg - technically lightweight); my laptop needs to rest against the table surface or else it'll fall backwards - typing will cause it to wobble - materials feel kind of cheap - doesn't seem like the middle flap will last a long time supporting the entire stand mechanism ... show more
