These coats are soooo warm. I love the blue color and the nice, zip-up pockets. The coat is a really nice qualiy and great for winter weather, skiing, tubing, or just being outdoors on a really cold day. The hood is just a little too full for me and makes my peripheral hard to see. The other thing I would say about it is that I would size up. I normally wear a L/XL but tend to go XL for heavy coats so I can wear a sweatshirt under it. I got the XL and while it zipped okay, there wasn't any "baggy room" in it. It does look like it costs way more that it does, and I would buy it again...but would size up. ... show more

My wife ordered this jacket for a trip to Norway. It was warm and waterproof, as described. The hood is detachable with a zipper and was easy to attach or remove. It meant that packing the hood in the luggage and not having to lug a heavy coat, plus hood, through airports, a lot easier. The band that covers the chin and mouth is a neat extra. She liked all the zippered pockets inside and outside the coat. The fur- lined hood and jacket were definitely a plus although fur-lined sleeves would have been nice, too. ... show more

The coat is very warm. It keeps your torso and arms warm. The pockets are great. Unfortunately your hands freeze in the pockets because the lining is not in the pockets where you put your hands. I just wish they would lined the whole pocket with the sherpa lining as well.
