Great buy for the money. At 5' and 128 lbs the large size fits perfectly with sweater room and still comfortable. This coat has 5 pockets, one inside = I love it. The detachable hood is special as there is 3 layers of warm, first keeps ears warm, second is a bit of brim to keep rain out of eyes, then there is the fur like trim in black that when hood is tied will keep face warm. The length is mid calf and the side zippers offer choice of leg movement. The purple is the color of the Aurora Borealis the first time I saw it. This coat is a gift from the Universe - Stylish too and well made.

I’ve been looking for a warmer winter coat since last year without much luck, until I found this coat coat on online. I’m glad I decided to look before winter, because the price was excellent. Also, thanks to another review, I managed to purchase the correct size. I’m on the petite side…5 foot 2 inches tall…currently 110 pounds…bust 36B…and a lot of pants and skirts are longer than my frame. This coat hangs just past my midshin and is still roomy enough to wear a tee shirt and an oversized hoodie underneath, and perhaps another layer, without limiting movement of my arms. One thing I noticed, is that the sleeves might be too short for someone who is tall and lean, unlike me…and usually takes a small. Im not tall, so when I tried this on with the layers and oversized hoodie, I pulled the hoodie’s sleeves out beyond the length of the coat’s sleeves, although the coat’s sleeves fit me well without all the clothing I put on to test the coat for mobility. I felt no binding or restriction of movement in the sleeves and even sitting, I had plenty of room in this coat, so I didn’t need to unzip the coat from the bottom. The color is a perfect deep navy blue. I was impressed by the make and materials. I do have other winter coats, but none are as warm and toasty as this one. The lining is so comfortable, I doubt that the wind will be bothering me while I’m wearing this. The material is thick, but since it has cords at the waist, the appearance and fit of the garment can be adjusted at the waist. One of the major reasons I purchased this as a winter coat, besides the warmth, detachable hood… pockets that can be accessed from the top or sides…it’s full length and that it was waterproof…and this coat is machine washable, unlike my long woolen, winter, dress coats, which need to be professionally dry cleaned. I think I made a good choice with the size and the style. It really seems well made, especially for the money. And being able to open up the zipper from the bottom or top, makes it a bit more versatile. It arrived very quickly, although I don’t expect to use it for a number of months. I appreciate the reviews by other customers, by the way…they really helped me select the perfect size for my build. I usually buy a medium, but that may have been too roomy and a bit too long for me. As is, I could easily gain 15 to 20 pounds and I think this coat would still fit very well. I wear mostly jeans or fleece-lined leggings in winter, but I think this coat is suitable to wear over a dress, too, especially, here, during the winter in New England. .

So far it’s gotten me through several countries of travel in winter with wind storms and snowstorms and rain storms and shopping through towns and leisurely outings and holiday events and anything I put it to the test with. It was comfortable, functional and stylish. I love the way the zippers offer so much flexibility for comfort. The legth is below knee - upper calf on me at 5’8” and kept my upper legs protected from the wind. The only thing that kind of could make it better is that the strings to cinch the waist hang on the outside instead of the inside, which is kind of silly. They tuck into the pockets so they don’t have to dangle at least. the faux fur is soft and really made a difference in more extreme weather. It also comes off pretty easy with the zipper, its just a little awkward though. I love that the hood comes of too and can be used without fur if desired. I got compliments on it and the blue is a nice color. I have no reason to think it won’t last me many winters. I got my usual size and it fit fine. There is room to wear seasonable layers underneath it, while still fitting and feeling somewhat sleek and not too bulky. It is warm! The worst part is coming out from the cold and into the hot in a store but I could carry it or tie it around my waist which probably looks stupid but sometimes you gotta do it. All in all, I highly recommend it. The first one I received had a manufacturing defect; one pocket was stitched too small. they swapped it out for me Easy Peezy, and the next one was great.

Nice and long (I'm 5'5") down to my knees. I like how light weight it is. It is a little thin so we'll see just how well it holds up in subzero temperatures, but I was outside at night for about 2 hours in 30 degree weather and I stayed nice and warm.

I looked at every jacket under the sun to find one that had several features I wanted and initially I was super skeptical because this coat was fairly inexpensive. I had looked at North Face, Patagonia, Columbia and all of those costs are super nice but expensive and didn't have ALL the features I wanted. I love the length, this coat is substantial, but skimpy at all in quality. Great side zippers, front double/2 way zipper along with snaps, waist cinch, detachable hood and great sleeves. I love it and would purchase another in a heartbeat. It's super warm, comfortable and also stylish! I just love it and I'm glad I took the gamble and bought it. I figured worst case scenario, I'd just return and definitely no need to do that now. I just wish there was a navy blue in this coat!

Wow it was so nice! With some of the negative reviews I feared that it would be sub-par. It was definately a delight. Warm, water proof, nice blue color, fair price, big zippers, removable hood, sealed with velcro patches, nice big pockets and pockets to keep hands warm with a bonus pocket inside the coat. Hood is big, so wear a baseball cap inside to lift and widen the hood away from your face. I am a med size and I ordered xl to be sure it was big inside to wear an additional coat to wear in Alaska. The waist adjusting pull makes it fit fine!! Love it.
