Due to problems with a pulmonary embolism following back surgery plus blood clot issues following a knee replacement several years later, I have attempted to ignore the pain in my other knee despite it being bone-on-bone. Three weeks ago, the painful knee became worse after it collapsed while descending metal bleachers at a football game. For the past 2 days I have been wearing this Modvel knee brace sleeve and have found it comfortable and surprisingly helpful. Although I have yet to mow the yard or climb several flights of stairs, so far it has allowed me to walk about the house & yard without the usual sharp pain. Will update after more time UPDATE After doing much more walking the bone-on-bone knee pain is, unfortunately, still present - not the product's fault. As far as knee support, the sleeve is comfortable even during hours of wear but I would give it 3.5 stars in that category. Overall, given the low cost, it is worth trying it. ... show more

I was training for a half marathon, and really pushing myself and injured my right knee, and I was so disappointed that I would not be able to participate in the half marathon. I was able to push through the knee pain for the marathon. However, afterwards I was not able to run because the pain was worse, I decided to buy this brace with a low suspicion that it would help me improve my pain. I've been wearing this, and my running is back I'm able to push the envelope and distance, and then how fast I run and it gives me confidence with the stability. The overall fit, great. The area im struggling with is, how do I appropriately wear it with half my outfits. I put it under my jeans, yet after 2 hours I am so itchy from it. Probably due to sweat. The best outfit I found to wear with it are leggings, but now it's getting too cold. Pros: It's way more comfortable than my brace that I was using. Went through three of those and all were just thick, overwhelming, and painful by the end of the day. This is more manageable to make it through the day. Great quality. ... show more

My first knee brace or sock. P>provides good support for your knees. Must measure as directed. One size does not fit all. Stays put needing no adjustments. My measurement said to order a large. Fit s well on me. Offers excellent instructions for measuring and how to put up your leg. You fold the socks in half using the size tag or markings on the sock to get it to fit properly. I’m 5’2 and sat in coach for a 5 hr flight and my knee was all jacked up afterwards. I purchased this a few days later and it’s exactly what I needed. My mid-thigh measures 22” & calf 15.5”, a medium was the perfect fit with great support. The sleeve in the back is what I wear when I go on my trail walks or around the house that’s why it’s wrinkled. I plan to wear the other one to sleep. I’ve worn this brace for a few work out sessions now and it seems to get the job done. I’ve found that it does mostly stabilize the knee joint so that I can focus on the task at hand, rather than worrying about knee stability. For me, it compresses the knee joint just enough, but isn’t so tight that I can’t necessarily freely move the knee. Product isn’t overly bulky either. This isn’t necessarily a long term review as I have not used the product for more than 2 months, but for the time I’ve had it, they seem to work great. Take this for what it’s worth. ... show more

Downhill hikes on rocky terrain are brutal on my knees. I wore these on a recent hike that included a steep canyon descent for ~1 mile on switchbacks, and wow! Normally that kind of hike would render me useless for a few days, but I can honestly say these helped a ton (combined with some good trekking poles). I was still a bit sore by the very end of the hike (it was another 8 miles after the descent—also something that would normally give me issues).
