I bought this backpack at the start of the 2020 year for school and though I only used it for a few months regularly, I do still get to use it when I venture out to campus to study, despite being mostly from home for both University and work now. I use the backpack to carry my 13" MacBook Pro, TI-84, charger, notebook, file organizer, and pens on the inside (pens have a space to go on the inner right of the backpack by the zipper!). There are a couple outer compartments, one bigger and one a bit smaller. I use the bigger one for my wallet, keys, mini stapler, sunglasses and face masks. The smaller one holds feminine hygiene products, headphones, lip balm and scrub, a protein bar, spare car key, hand cream, and Post-It notes notebook tabs-so there is no shortage of room in this backpack if you are using for school! I don't recommend this backpack for storing a lot of things for a trip-clothes and shoes etc will not fit-but it works fine for me on trips to carry essentials relating to studies. One thing I will say is that while there are two drink compartments on this backpack on each side of the zipper for the main compartment-they do not hold ANY size drinks, at all. I have yet to find a single drink or bottle to fit inside either of those. Not Red Bull cans, no water bottles of any brand-nothing. I love this backpack, and the vintage look of it, but I would have liked to have had a free hand every now and again while commuting to and from classes for holding my water bottle. I recommend purchasing if you are looking for something small and cute for school, but just understand you won't be able to fit your bottle anywhere unless you place it in the backpack itself-which isn't a good idea if you carry your computer with you normally.

I received this in under a day. It’s perfect for what I need it for. I booked a United Basic Economy flight that only includes a personal item. I fly Spirit and Frontier all the time but realized United’s personal item bag size requirement is much smaller than the under the seat bag I use for the under the other airlines which allow a slightly bigger personal item. The photos show one measurement and the destription shows a slightly different one. I measured this bag totally full and it’s 15.5x10x9. I am just flying to NYC for 3 days, 2 nights. This easily fit 4 outfits,undergarments, make up/toiletries, chargers, laptop plus a gift I am bringing that fills up half the bag so I’ll have extra room if I shop. Packing tip: I didn’t pack anything bulky for my trip. I wore my jacket and jeans on the plane. I love there is a zipper on the back to keep wallet and also a little zipper on the strap. So many pockets! The zippers aren’t luxury but they aren’t bad. External zippers are nicer than the pocket zippers. This bag looks nice. I really love it. It’s perfect for a weekend trip as long as you plan carefully.

Clean looking backpack, excellent packaging. Sits comfortably on me, 5'9" 150 lbs slight athletic build. Power brick on the way for the backpack, but I tested it with my phone charger, and it does indeed work, which it should... Cut a couple loose threads off the bag, no biggie. As an owner of a gaming laptop that I purchased for gaming and school, wish there was a bit more cushion for the laptop compartment. It's not particularly secure, from my few hours with it. Decent size, although there's only 3 pockets. They could of gone ahead and added a few more pockets, felt like they chose aesthetics over usability which in my opinion is never a good choice. To add to that point, the pockets on either side of the backpack are laughably small; you'd probably legitimately have trouble squeezing a 12 oz water bottle into one of the pockets, they're that small and tight. They'd be a decent size if they stretched, but they don't at all; unfortunate. While the size of the backpack and the look is nice, and the charging port being practical, I feel like they sacrificed the looks of the bag for it being more useful. Could always put your water bottle in the zipper part, but what's the two pockets for? I really can't think of anything you'd put in one of those pockets on a consistent basis; they're just too small and tight. Maybe over time it will stretch, but like I said, haven't used it yet, just going off a few hours of messing with it. Look elsewhere if you're a graduate student in medical school that's carrying loads of textbooks on a daily basis; this is obviously more casual, but I feel confident it can hold a decent amount of weight. Used the backpack for the first time; Like I said before, it's a good looking bag. the very small pockets are still annoying; I honestly feel like there more for aesthetics. Now, I'm gonna keep my 3.5/5 STARS. But, If my laptop were any bigger or the bag was any smaller, it would not fit. I have a gaming laptop, but it's by no means a brick. I'll actually check right now... It's 15"x10.5"; if that's big to you, you've grown up on macbooks your whole life. It barely, and I mean BARELY, fit in the bag. I didn't have to force it in or anything, but I swear I got lucky. I'm keeping my rating the same, because right now I don't have the time to check if they list the maximum laptop size can fit in the bag/something regarding laptop size and the bag. If they didn't, I'm sure I'm not alone when you first saw the bag that it's a pretty decent size. So, shame on me if they have it and I was dumb and didn't read close enough; shame on them and rating drops too 3/5 STARS; for this issue, the more or less useless side pockets, and the lack of compartments within the bag, and for a backpack specifically designed for a laptop, in my opinion I was expecting more padding for comfort.

I have fibromyalgia and Ehler's Danlos and I'm a pre-med major. It was very important for me starting this semester with these new disabilities that I just got diagnosed with that I find a backpack that I could carry across campus that wouldn't end me up in the ER by the next day and put me out of commission for the next week or so. I'm still adjusting to these new physical issues as I only got diagnosed about 6 months or so and I'm finding I need to make major lifestyle changes. This backpack is exactly what I needed. The straps are so nice and cushioning that when I'm carrying various books, notebooks, pens/highlighters, notecards, and my stethoscope and whatever else I need in my backpack, I rarely have to stop and rest going across campus. I go to a big university so our campus is pretty expansive. I don't just use this for school, either. I use it for everything else, as well. When I'm at club activities, volunteering, internships/shadowing. . .it's been great for everything. It's nice and cool, too. I'm hyper-sensitive to heat due to my issues and due to the fact I'm on a medication that doesn't allow me to sweat. I was concerned with getting a backpack that would be hot since I live in New Orleans---the hottest city in the US. But, no, things have gone great so far. It hasn't been too hot and I don't end feeling like I'm dying as I walk across campus or anywhere else. My joints and muscles have thanked me since I switched. It's very important to have things that don't hurt you when you have physical issues like mine as you go through working with your doctors and specialists to try to find treatments that are right for you. And even after you find the right treatments, choosing the right objects like this one is very important. I'd completely 100% recommend this for anyone with joint, muscle issues and anyone with back problems. It is *extremely* comfortable and not hot at all. It's also an added bonus that it looks nice and professional while still looking cute and adorable on the side.

I bike to work and needed to upgrade my sport backpack to a more professional option. This bag is perfect for that. It's well-made for the price and the gold zipper and strap detailing add stylish touch. The upper flap needs to be lifted all the way up to access the zippered compartment, and the faux leather straps have a magnetic button closure. The primary compartment is really roomy and is rectangular shaped, which is ideal for fitting books, files, or a laptop. The bag is spacious without being bulky. One minor complaint is that the black bag does get dusty more easily than a sport-brand bag might, given that it's made out of a thicker-weave material than a sport or tech fabric. But that's not necessarily the bag's "fault;" it's just something to beware of. The side pockets are rather narrow and won't fit a water bottle, and the smaller zippered pockets are also a bit narrow and don't have a lot of give to them. You will get most of the utility out of the primary compartment, which is pretty roomy. If you need a bag with more compartmentalization, this might not be ideal for you. I haven't tried the USB port because I keep forgetting to bring my power bank with me, but I guess it's good to have that option.

I really like this backpack! I researched a few, and this one was in my wishlist. I believe I was able to purchase it on sale. The button closures on the front are magnetic, that’s a plus. I like that the flap covers anlmost all the zippers and pockets, so it’s a good theft deterrent if anyone is behind you. Would be pretty obvious they’re putting their hands on your stuff. I haven’t tried the charge port yet, but I like that it’s a feature. The largest pocket has a place for your iPad or laptop, which is always great, and plenty of space for all of your other things. The straps feel comfortable and are easy to adjust. All of the stitching looks good, no lose threads poking out anywhere. The material is polyester, but feels and looks great! For the price, I think it’s well worth it. This’ll be a great personal item if I have to fly anytime soon.

I have used this bag to walk deep into the Rocky Mountains and packed the bag full of yellow and blue chamomile to bring back and extract at base camp. The material is thick and good quality. It is stitched together very well and I have had this thing packed tight with well over 40 pounds in it and then walked about 10 miles back home. I have not seen so much as a single stitch broken, nor has the metal holding the straps together bent or broken like a lot of the cheap plastic book bags. I am surprised the bags are so affordable; they must be made at the exploitation of child labor and/or underpaid slave labor from other countries. This makes me sad because the bag is so good quality that whoever is actually making it deserves to be paid very well for their hard work and integrity. I have used it to put my MacBook Air, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, games, notebooks, thermos, and still had room. I use it to go for walks. I use it for bike rides. I ride my bike to the grocery store a lot and I try not to use the plastic grocery bags. I can fit a lot into this bag. At least 1 week supply of food. I have put 2 plastic jugs of water in it, but one busted open so I don’t not recommend it, but they do fit! Good for using battery pack and solar panel for long walks to charge your phone and speakers/headphones.
