I consider myself an "experienced beginner" - meaning guitar has always been a casual hobby of mine that I never felt the need to take seriously since it was enough for me to learn how to crappily play a quick riff/melody from my favorite songs to be satisfied, then I won't touch the guitar again for months. I know a few chords and some theory, but not well enough to call myself an intermediate. But recently I've had the desire to be able to be able to express myself through guitar and not just play existing music. I really enjoy Manuel's work and watch his videos on Youtube. When I saw his post about how he made a book teaching his techniques, I had to get it. I'm only slowly making my way through Etude 1, but I feel like my confidence and motivation to better my skills has already increased. This book makes these more advanced techniques very comprehensible even for someone at my level, especially with the accompanying tracks and video. The etudes approach really resonates with me as someone who best learns by doing. And I really appreciate instructional books that tell you how to use them, which the intro of this one does well. ... show more

Great addition! Really digs deep into breaking down seemingly difficult techniques into bite sized doable challenges. Make sure to take advantage of the bonus content to really focus on each technique. Was super helpful and provides multiple viewing angles of each etude.
