Decided I wanted to try doing my own gel nails. Researched a little and knew I wanted a product to strengthen them to help with growth and length. Bought this after reading the positive reviews- it was a great choice! I would consider myself an at-home ‘pro’ for painting my nails, but have never used gel or builder gel. Watched a how-to YouTube video and got to it. This was incredibly easy to use and the finished product looks salon worthy. Everyone assumes I got my nails done and it lasts easily two weeks, longer if I desire, even through hot tubs and chlorine. I got the clear color rubber coat and used it as a base with color and a top coat over it- otherwise alone it remains tacky, which I believe you can resolve with alcohol swipes but I can’t confirm that.

I purchased this rubber gel polish in two colors on a recommendation from Gemini when I asked about nail strengthening. I am the first to admit that I've done everything wrong with my nails: 10 years of gel manicures without any breaks; letting nail techs file nearly all of my nail layers off; wash dishes without gloves; trim cuticles; use an emory file. So I had a long chat with Gemini to sort out what may help get my nails back on track. I'm a business executive and really hate how bad my nails were looking! I now use jojoba oil multiple times a day on my nails and use hand cream, I went through a keratin rebuilding process, I wear rubber gloves when washing the dishes, and now I use rubber gel base. In my photo, the upper images are a layering of one layer of nude and one clear, and then coming back in a week and adding another layer of clear. I LOVE how thick it is. It never causes any pain when the light is curing this polish - some gel layers I've used in the past are really painful. Never any pain with this. I use a pH bond to dry out the nail first and then apply and cure two layers of this polish. Lasts a week or more without issue. I do soak off with acetone, and I feel this removes without much damage to the nail plate. I've been able to start growing out my nails again, and they seem stronger than ever! I also really like the effect of using nail stickers and then covering them with one layer of this clear rubber gel. The stickers are going to last forever, due to the thick polish. In the past, I just used a layer of gel topcoat, and then after a few days the top coat would chip and also chip the stickers. Using the rubber gel instead of a top coat really protects the stickers! And they look very cool, kind of like the stickers are suspended in gel. I have watched several videos on creating a bubble apex with this polish; I don't see a need for it as I don't mind the shape of my nails. Also a little bit challenging to get right at home. If you have nails that split on the sides, peel, or have ridges, you should try out this product. I've not had a single side split in the 3 weeks I've been using this product. That is a record for me! The flexible nature of this gel is really a better option for me than standard hard gels or semi-cured gel strips.

This is a really good rubber base coat. It has a great consistency and creates a strong, smooth foundation for gel polish. It helps the polish adhere well and gives my nails extra strength without feeling bulky. Once I started using this, I didn’t feel the need to use any other base coat underneath. If you’re doing gel manicures and want something that strengthens and preps the nail in one step, this is a great option. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m a baby DIY nail artist, and this clear builder gel is everything. I skipped the regular base, only applied this rubber base after prepping my nails, did color(s) and beetles glossy top coat. The rubber gel is thick but it’s workable. I have zero experience with this stuff and my nails look professional. It’s a really a game changing product for at home nails. I just took off another 4 week old mani and it was still perfect. Could’ve lasted longer if I wasn’t worried about my nails breaking. Cuz that’s happened to me before from the salon if I don't fill them in at a certain point, but I have faith in this builder gel if I did want to go longer. Tip to any other newbs like myself, after spreading your bead, briefly tilt your hand upside down for a good apex and leveling. Watch a few YouTube tutorials on rubber base application, they all do this, this method is gold. With my 120W UV lamp, I cure wet polish 30 sec minimum while working each finger, 60–120 sec per final finished hand or for top coat . I just want more colors and more nude options!! Honestly, I might never hit a salon again lol.

The media could not be loaded. The key to a long lasting gel x adhesion and undamaged natural nails - is a good rubber base coat - I put this on before after nail prep & cure for 60 , then put the gel ex glue on the etched tip and apply . Flash cure . Do that to every single nail . Then apply another thin layer and cure before you add your gel color and I promise you your gel x set with last 2 weeks and up !!!

I got this to try and make my nails a little stronger when using gel polish and I have to say I wasn’t that impressed. My nails are still bending even though I use this. It does help a little bit but if you have really thin nails like me you’re probably gonna need something thicker. The product itself is very easy to apply and is a good quality just to thin of a coat for what my nails turkey needed at the time but maybe if they weren’t so weak and were at peak health it would’ve worked better. But this time my nails still broke even though I had it on.
