Very well machined. The wheel is precision cut brass and the filament handling end is case hardened. It's got very crisply edged teeth that solidly grip the filament but don't score it badly. After initial lubing it reduced the weight of the print head a very little. I recalibrated. No noticeable improvement in print quality. I don't think you get much benefit when you upgrade a part that's already ideally engineered for the job.

This was excellently built with fine CNC machine work. Fantastic quality and they are a direct fit for my Bambu lab P1S. Haven't had any issues since installing. Very easy to install and maintain. I've put about 600 hours of use and have had zero issues. I only wish BIQU made CNC gears for the AMS feeders

The panda steel extruder for my Bambu A1 mini up grade works great, easy to install, fits like a glove. I recommend it to any one with a Bambu 3D printer.

Absolute trash the tolerance on this part is off it doesn’t allow the extruding gears to pinch the filament so it will not feed. I bought this and the panda claw and Was disappointed to find out it wasn’t going to work. I could see where the problem was and thought about grinding off a bit of the aluminum so that it would make contact with the filament but it would require more grinding than there is room for without destroying it. The panda claw works well with the stock Extruder but as of now if you have a worn out Extruder case just get another plastic one from Bambu. I run 3 other x1c printers with the claw installed and Micrswiss hot ends hopefully Biq will fix the quality control issues in china because some of these actually work just not in my case but a lot of users are complaining that they are having the same issues. Probably not worth the risk to find out especially after taking apart your printer and reinstalling everything just to find out you got one of the bad ones. Wasted time and money. Won’t order from biq again my 6 printers don’t love Pandas even if Panda’s love Bambu lab. lol

I really like this extruder. It gives me more confidence than the original plastic one. I don't think it preforms better in the real world, but it looks nice and is built solid. My only gripe is that some of the bearing bores were a loose fit on the bearing.

Item has worked perfectly! The install was very straightforward and the gears seem extremely well built. Only time will tell if they last as long as the stock gear. I will update if anything changes but so far it is working great.

So I was having extrusion issues on my printer, and I needed to get a new extruder. This was available next-day shipping so I pulled the trigger and got it in. Install took 15 minutes and I was up and running again the next day. I saw another reviewer talking about the clicking sound on the retractions on the extruder. I did hear that as well, so I pulled it apart and put some grease on the pinion gear, after doing that, the clicking sound subsided. Considering these parts are now running metal on metal, instead of metal on plastic, I plan to pull the head off after 50 prints and apply some more grease to keep it in tip-top shape. I don't expect to have to replace this again for the life of the printer. The prints come out perfect again.
