The base coat stays on really well, and color gel goes on really smoothly over it. The top gel is so glossy and pretty, and adds a nice shine. you do need to wipe the top coat after curing with gel cleanser or isopropyl alcohol, otherwise it'll be a bit sticky. I’ve used a lot of at-home gel top and base coats and this set surprised me. The base goes on smooth and levels nicely, and the top coat gives a really glossy finish without that sticky layer, which I love. It cured evenly under my LED lamp and didn’t wrinkle or bubble. I’m about a week in and haven’t had any chipping yet, even with normal daily use. It still looks freshly done. Removal was also pretty standard, no harder than other gel systems I’ve used. The brush is a little wider than I’m used to, so you have to be careful near the cuticles at first. Once you get used to it, it’s easy to work with. Overall this is a really solid set for the price. I’ve been doing my nails for about a year now. I tried a couple different products this time and this was one of them. The topcoat is AMAZING!!! The two other bottles of topcoat I’ve used (different brand) have been fine but having to do an alcohol wipe off afterwards always left them really dull & not shiny afterwards. Once I washed my hands a couple times the fogginess would go away but it still wasn’t as glossy looking as I’d like. This no wipe topcoat is so nice to use. I saw some people were saying it didn’t cure all the way or that they still had to wipe it but I did not have that experience. I did 120 seconds under my light just like I do with any topcoat, it wasn’t sticky at all & cured just fine plus it is super glossy. I was so happy & honestly surprised. 10/10 would definitely recommend & will definitely buy again when it runs out. ... show more

I gave these gel polish base and top coat duo 4 stars because the base coat never hardened. I did 2 cures at 90 seconds each and it was still sticky. However I did paint with my gel nail polish on top of it and it didn't have any negative effects. The top coat DID however cure one time at 60 seconds. Doing nails at home is all about being budget friendly and not having to spend the time and money in a salon. I would buy this duo again as it's priced right and overall worked for my nails. ... show more

This is some really good base and top coat, the only problem I encountered was stickiness after I cured. I wiped with alcohol and it was all good after!
