Great product! I did not have the heat turned up all the way and it melted a large piece of aluminum in less than 5 minutes. The size is perfect for the size of the ingot mold I was using The only negative I have is the gloves that were part of the kit. They were terrible. The tips of them burned through. I suggest purchasing a good set of leather welding gloves or a good pair of firefighters gloves.

The media could not be loaded. 12KG Molten Master dual burner Furnace Kit "EDIT: This company is better then your quick pack drop shipping stores that sre expect on Amazon. Some good planning went into place with this set and I wouldn't recommened a different product / company to go with for a beginner." Failures: 1. The gloves only lasted through 1/3rd of the ingots shown. I RECOMMENED 1000 DEGREE KEVLAR 2. Ingot provided is TINY, see photos. 12kg is ~same volume as a cast iron bread pan. 3. The Fire brick provided for the crucible is in the condition shown after doing the ingot volume shown. 4. The tongs do not wrap around crucible as shown in photo. Tongs made for 18kg crucible. 5. The grips on the thongs are poorly secured. Pro: 1. Almost melted my stainless steel scoop spoon. So temp get hot, I have only done aluminum, but the heat temp is noticeable. 2. The adjustable gauge helps tone gas volume. 3. Very easy to assemble, operate AND pack up for storage. Upgrades recommened: 1. Gloves to kevlar, these will get you started though. 2. Ingot to cast iron bread pan.

I am impressed with this little furnace kit. It worked really well for the first burn and was easy to set up. It reaches melting point fairly quickly. My only real complaints are that the ceramic honeycomb tile was broken when it arrived and that the kit says it has everything needed (which it mostly does) but a set of pouring tongs would have been nice. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I would change it to five stars if the seller replaces the broken tile.

Looked to be in good shape on delivery. When we hooked it up to gas though, the regulator wouldn't quit leaking. Tried to confirm that all the gaskets for the regulator were there, but the parts list will only tell you "regulator" so kind of hard to confirm much. Update, the company reached out to make things right with the unit I had received. I really appreciate that and it shows a lot of integrity. Since fixing my unit we've casted several ingots and it's work exceptional well.

The tongs are the sketchiest aspect of the kit, but they serve their purpose. Do yourself a favor and get a second crucible, MMasters has a good selection. Easy setup, and compact for when storage is limited.
