These are very bright white bulbs. But word of advice, turn your bulbs on when installing, then when you have them in tight enough, they will light up. As instructions says, screw them in all the way tight, or they will not light up… I learned the hard way. Very pleased with the bulbs but I don’t think they dim. I purchased these to replace the bulbs in my exterior patio light strands (also purchased from Amazon a few years ago). Upon receipt of the bulbs, I tried one to replace a burnt out bulb, but when I screwed it in the bulb did not turn on. I tried the bulb in another socket of an old/working bulb, and the new bulb did not work there either. I then tried a different new bulb from the box, and it still did not work. So, I thought the box was full of duds, and I submitted a return request. The vendor provided a prompt reply, with a note asking about the light strand that I was using and stated that sometimes the bulbs have a tight fit. They advised that I make sure they were all the way in. So, before I returned them, I tried once again to screw in the bulbs. With some serious force, I was able to get the bulb all the way in...and it worked! However, I was concerned that I would break the bulb in the process, and I've not tried to unscrew it, so I don't know if that will be an issue. In summary, if you do buy these and you think they don't work, just try a little harder to get it screwed in all the way! Also, I will say this vendor provided excellent customer service with the offer of a refund. However, I am just happy that I have a working product! ... show more
