This is a great all around golf bag at a fair price. Some great achievements have been made in the design of this bag. First it seems Mizuno has fixed the problem featured on the BR-DX where the strap attachment points would fail due to the stitching coming apart and render the bag unable to be carried. Also, offering this bag in the four club well design versus the 14 individual wells also featured on the BR-DX helps to lighten things up and makes the bag less bulky feeling. Another huge highlight is that it does indeed include a rain cover, an ample one at that, and possibly the third reason for the five star review. Amazon wasn't clear if it did or not so I rolled the dice and it came up matching rain covers for me. The cover features a dual zipper and plenty of clearance for your club heads and it fastens to the bag with abundant confidence. Another problem found on the BR-DX was the stand and concerns with the legs crossing and not being supportive enough under load. Mizuno has tackled this problem head on as the stand on the BR-D3 is solid as could be and in fact has a hard time deploying with no load in the bag. I would feel comfortable mounting a hunting rifle on this thing. There are also individual built in bungee cords to hold the legs in place if you decide to cart this thing. Nice feature. Other honorable mentions would include the pockets which are thoughtfully laid out and an upgraded towel/accessory carabiner that adds a nice touch. Ok, the valuables pocket could be a tad larger, but it's still velvet lined and feels pretty darn good. All in all, I think the BR-D3 is a great all around bag that has the walking golfer in mind. Lightweight, can hold all your gear, and perhaps most importantly, solid anchoring points for the carrying straps. Having one of these bust on the course is like getting a flat tire without a spare. And although the BR-DX isn't a bad bag, I would say it's more of a cart bag that can occasionally be carried if need be whereas the BR-D3 is an everyday carry bag that can be carted if you're just not feeling like walking that day. It’s got more pockets than I have social events, stands sturdier than my self-esteem, and is lighter than the excuses I make for my golf game. Got the bag to use for walking rounds. The bag is nice too look at, enough storage for everything you need. Lightweight. The issue I have is the stand legs. They come out too narrow and often the bags will fall over. I have to physically pull the legs out to get a wider base. Would not recommend this bag at all.
