I purchased it about its solar capabilities and it’s absolutely a big lie. Had it in the sun for 3 days and collected zero charge. On the positive it’s a strong light beam but that was not why I got it. Second edit. After my better observant son asked me to remove the clear plastic film over the solar cell… well guess what it worked…so my apologies. ... show more

    • Very bright and nice features
For the money, this is a nice light. It's very bright, like a quarter of a mile bright! Great for spotting deer and would probably be useful for marine purposes. I appreciate that it is solar chargeable because who knows if/when the grid might go down. It's also nice that you can charge other devices from this. It also can charge from a standard USB brick. The battery life seems good but I haven't timed it so I won't venture a guess. The multiple modes are nice since you don't often need that ¼ mile range. The side light array is plenty bright for campsite or trails. I'm not sure the red/blue flasher is all that useful but maybe there's a circumstance I can't think of. The reason for only 4 stars is that apparently it's not as well made as I had hoped. After only 3 times out, very brief use each time, the trigger has already failed. It's as though the spring has broken that returns the trigger after pulling it. I can still get the light to change modes so it's possible to use it at this point, but who knows for how long. It's like having to use a broken piece of equipment that is still has some life left in it. So that's a disappointment. I'd contact the manufacturer but have lost any documentation on that so if they see this I hope they contact me. I still recommend this light because maybe this is a rare problem and it really is a nice unit at this price if customer service is attentive. Just save your documentation. ... show more

This spotlight has been a game changer when we camp. I use it when we go to our church retreats. The beam is very bright and allows me to go safely between the bunk houses after dark. This thing was pretty awesome. I was skeptical about how wide a beam it would cast, but I can light up my whole back yard from a good 50+ yards away. Helps to know what my dogs are barking at without needing to completely leave the house. If you want a bright light, this is the one.

Best spotlight I’ve owned. It’s lightweight and easy to hold. My family, husband and I were on a fishing trip with multiple boats. I was probably a good mile away from the other boats and I could see the light shining thru the trees!!! I knew right away it was him because of how bright this light is!!
