After reading several reviews, I was a little bit concerned as to the quality of these pillow inserts! I did size up based on the reviews as well. This was a great recommendation and I suggest you do the same if you are thinking of ordering these. They are fine quality for couch throw pillows! They fluff up nicely! They definitely filled out our pillow cover! And now they are a great match to some custom pillows we had made. Great price! Good quality! Highly recommend! These gave off a very foul odor right out the packaging, smells like chicken coup. Even after 2 weeks the scent lingers strongly. At this stage I don't know if I am to throw them out or throw it in the machine and sun dry them. It's terrible. Not alot of stuffing either, not fully and the fabric used is very stiff like it was spray starched. Needless to say it does the job, hopefully the horrible smell goes away soon. I purchased some inexpensive Halloween pillow covers, and tried to put them on some polyfil pillow inserts. They were too delicate and I actually ripped one of them while trying to pull it over the insert. I started looking at softer inserts, and came across these. They worked perfectly because I could squish them down so they fit through the zippered opening easily. I fluffed them once they were inside the covers. So I was super excited for these feather down pillow covers, although they are further down and they hold through to the softness. They are underfilled, I was looking for something a little more structured. So as soon as I put them on my bed, they flopped over not what I was looking for.

These inserts are so soft and squishy that they won't hold a shape for long. I bought 24x24 to fit a 22x22 cover and that still isn't enough plumpness to hold a chop or anything else shape-wise. As long as you don't lean on them at all, they look ok on the couch but they sink down and flatten way too easily. I am returning them for what I hope will be a better, stiffer insert. ... show more
