You should know at the outset that I am the most detail-oriented, particular person I know - downright finicky, actually. I have a designer’s eye and and am lucky enough to have a beautiful, immaculate home (which I’d trade in a heartbeat for some delightful, messy children). I’ve purchased a ton of pillow covers on Amazon but these are definitely among my faves. Because I am so fussy about decor, I am absolutely SHOCKED by the myriad of complaints about these pillow covers! I think the quality is stellar, and will certainly buy more Miulee again! I purchased the covers six months ago and have had no loose threads, fuzz falling off, feathers peeling off, zipper issues, etc. A reviewer stated that it looked like the feathers were just cheap stickers stuck on top of the “fur.” What?! Maybe they actually are; I don’t know, but they certainly don’t look it! The gold foil feathers and faux fur also add to the gorgeous textures in my living room (more on texture in my postscript). Another review indicated these cases are see-through, and I am beyond baffled by that, as well. I bought these in ivory to cover some dark green pillows that no longer coordinate with my decor. You can’t detect so much as a hint of green through the ivory; these covers look exactly like they would if I’d filled them with standard white pillow forms! I love these cases because they look and feel so luxurious (at least in ivory) but they also add a touch of playfulness and whimsy. All of that for an exceedingly reasonable cost, to boot! I’ve even received compliments on them! P.S. I mentioned above that these pillow covers are a great asset to a room’s texture. If you’d like to learn more, read on! (Most people don’t understand the importance of texture - I didn’t until fairly recently.) Texture is anything that is tactile or brings visual depth to your interiors. If your space feels flat but you can't quite pinpoint what is missing, it’s probably a variety of textures. Designers ADORE a room layered with a wide variety of textures, as they can instantly make an average room look more rich and inviting. In fact, they call texture a designer’s “secret weapon”: “texture adds depth, depth adds warmth, and warmth can make our designs come to life. It’s a feeling both by touch and sight." Some examples of texture (and I’m NOT suggesting you use all in the same room!): a chunky cable-knit throw over the back of the sofa, pillows on the sofa made of velvet, faux fur, chenille or leather, a basket or wall decor made of reclaimed wood, a smooth marble-topped table, rugs on a hardwood floor, shiny metal fixtures, etc. Warm fabric textures make a room feel cozy; cool, hard, shiny textures lend a contemporary feel to a room. Love the look and feel of these pillow covers, but the stitching is weak. One broke when I put it on the pillow, so I sewed it up with a denser stitch and it works great now. I anticipate these may develop holes at the seams where the original stitching exists, but I am keeping them because they really are pretty and soft with a fun texture to them.
