I purchased these pillow inserts for my living room couch and added my own pillow covers. For what I wanted them for, I’m really happy with them! They fill out the covers nicely and give my couch that full, fluffy, more elevated look. My favorite thing is that you can actually get a good “karate chop” in the middle and they hold the shape really well. That was the look I specifically wanted for my decorative pillows, and these are perfect for it. They definitely helped make my couch and living room look more put together. The reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is comfort. I wouldn’t purchase these if your main goal is having a pillow to lay on or cuddle with. Since they’re feather-filled, I can sometimes feel the feather stems poking through when I lay against them, which isn’t very comfortable. For me, that isn’t a dealbreaker because I purchased them mainly for decoration anyway. They look great, fluff up nicely, and give me exactly the shape I wanted. I just consider these strictly decorative pillows rather than everyday lounging pillows. If you want that fluffy designer-style pillow look and love a good karate chop, I definitely recommend them. If comfort is your main priority, I would probably choose a different type of insert. ... show more

I purchased two each of the 22", 20" and 18" pillow insert sizes for my project to make accent pillows for my new living room. These worked perfectly! I love the feather/down blend that makes them both firm enough while totally huggable and shapable to look beautiful and feel comfortable. I wish the description included the blend, but the tag on the pillow says 95% feather and 5% down. The covering is 100% cotton and very tightly woven and smooth. I made my covers to be 2" smaller than each pillow size to ensure a plump, full final pillow. The price is right, but even better when I got these as part of Prime Days offers. I truly couldn't be happier. My total project cost with fabric, notions and pillows has come in $170 for 6 pillows! I bought the 14 x 36 insert for a decorative pillow in my bedroom and have been using it since December. Months later, it is still soft, fluffy and holding its shape well. Just as important, I have not had any problems with feathers poking through. What I like most is that it has that soft, slightly squishy feather pillow feel but still gives my pillow a nice full shape. It does not stay perfectly fluffed all the time, so I reshape it occasionally. When it needs more of a refresh, I put it in the dryer and it fluffs back up beautifully. The durability has impressed me. After several months of use, I have not noticed issues with the feathers, the insert has not become lumpy, and I can easily reshape it when needed. The only downside is that if you want that really full, freshly fluffed look all the time, you will need to fluff it occasionally. I expect that with a feather insert, so it has not bothered me. For a bedroom or decorative pillow where you want softness along with a full, comfortable look, I think this is a great insert. I would definitely buy this brand again. Tip: If it starts looking a little flat, a quick trip through the dryer brings the fluffiness back. ... show more

These pillow inserts are made of a good quality crisp cotton fabric, I love that sound it makes when you crinkle the fabric, it tells me it isn't cheap polyester. The filling is 95 feather, 5 down and has good firm support, fluffs up nicely. It arrives vacuum sealed and requires some fluffing, didn't take much. I didn't even have to put it in the dryer. No strong smell, maybe a slight new smell. It is more pricey than the poly fill ones, but you get what you pay for and I feel these are much better and they will last longer. They are 18 inch, I put them in 18 inch covers, I think I should have gone up to the 20 inch inserts, but these are still good, just depends on personal preference as to how full you like your pillows. Tried to give this 5 stars but it won’t let me. These are the perfect pillow inserts for that designer look! I paid more for fiber inserts and they never filled the corners of my pillow covers, even after trying to fluff and rearrange them. These are perfect!! Ordered these and was disappointed BUT found the instructions to put into dryer. Did that as instructed for 28 minutes. They fluffed up great! My pillow Covers were 20 x20 so I ordered 22 x 22 and they fit good but wished I had gotten 24 x 24. But still look good. I would recommend these.
