It's a pillow insert. They are received vacuum packed. They are not as full as the picture shows when you open and let them fill with air but it worked. I would buy 1 size larger than you need if you want a full pillow. They were full in my 18x18 sham but not in my 20x20 sham.

I got these pillows at less than full price and I'm glad I did. They are not nice. I followed instructions to fluff them twice, thinking that perhaps I had not done a good enough job the first time as they are lumpy and unsightly. I then tried putting them in the dryer on a fluff setting and it did not improve them. Putting them into a pillow cover helps a little as it compresses the pillow but they are still noticeably under filled and lumpy. I recommend Utopia brand pillows over these. ... show more

I should have stuck with down pillows. Polyester fill is flat. I tried to pump it up and it just got clumpy. I ordered 20” pillows for 18” covers and they still look pathetic. Also, packaging was the worst. Secured tighter than Fort Knox. So much tape! I think my box and one of the packages inside were previously opened. It was not packaged the same as the other one. I’m sure someone else took one out and said “heck no” to the pillow, too. Don’t waste your money. The product is sub par. ... show more

The pillows are much thinner than pictured. And packaging was very frustrating! There were 3 layers of vacuum sealed plastic with tons of tape! Very difficult to unwrap without cutting the actual pillows! And tons of plastic that is not recyclable! All that plastic was not necessary! I may have to use 2 pillows for each cover to make them thick enough. ... show more
