    • Predatory games installed even tho I told them not to: hard to remove ads all over lock screen

It's a decent burner phone while my usual phone is being repaired. Three stars because it's advertised as "kid and senior friendly" but it automatically installed a ton of predatory games I told it not to while installing, and also had an app that displayed ads all across the lock screen that I had to Google how to remove them many times and try different methods. I do not think a senior who is unfamiliar with smart phone technology would be able to remove those ads on their own. I think it's super gross to plaster ads all across something advertised as friendly to the groups of people most likely to be scammed and unable to remove the predatory ads on their own. Three starts because it works and is useable if you need a cheap phone but it certainly isn't senior or child friendly. ... show more

The good, the bad and the ugly about the MIRO 4G phone. Note that I bought this phone to use strictly as a backup phone for traveling. I am not using this for my primary cell. So the good: lightweight (very important for me), USB-C, dual SIM, easy access to the SIMs, Micro SD card and battery as the back pops off, like the old days. Also it does work in Europe (at least for my network) with a local EU SIM... Lastly the display is bright enough. The bad: it seems to be a bit slow. Not that I expected great performance, but it's an adjustment from a higher end cell. Also battery life doesn't seem great. Time will tell as it's still new and I can tweak the settings. Note that there is no NFC. If you like paying with your phone at a register and not pulling out cards, it doesn't have this feature. The ugly: The Amazon web description says there is fingerprint recognition under Add'l Details, there isn't. Under Device Unlock there is Screen Lock (ex: PIN, Password) and Face Detection but I didn't activate that. Perhaps it was an entry error. So it's a 4G phone with limitations, good as a 'get home phone' should something happen to my main phone and for the price, I don't have regrets. ... show more
