    • better than some of the other bagged dirt
Due to age and health, I am forced to do most of my gardening in containers and grow bags requiriing the the purchase of a lot of bagged potting soil. In recent years much of the bags have had too much large bark and twigs plus have been plagued by terrible soil gnats. This year have gotten 6 bags of this raised bed soil and seems to be greatly improved in the quality and no large clumps of bark, etc. and when adding to containers you can just tell in mixing with older soil that it is of better quality. The size/wt. of the bags is a bit of a challenge for a senior but getting delivered through UPS from Amazon order directly to my porch where I can work from is a real asset. Still getting some gnats as I am also from Miracle Gro Seed starter bags which is not fun as seedlings are indoors. I wish Miracle Gro could do more about their persistent product problems with the bugs hatching in everything. For containers this seems to be a good buy and way to go though. ... show more

It’s hard to find raised planter Soil in my nearby stores. This soil is ideal for my herb garden. Soil arrived a day earlier than the delivery date. Item is exactly what I expected to receive.

When I received this soil, it wasn't like the others from Miracle Grow that I have tried. It looks more like compost, but I think that's what makes the difference. I have been making new pots and filling in existing ones and my plants are doing so much better. Definitely give this one a try. It's great for containers and raised gardens. ... show more

Bought two different raised bed soils. Both made the same claims. Did not think there would be much difference. So wrong! This is the stuff that works! My plants in this soil are out growing the other soil plants four times faster. They look healthier by far and receive less light. That, tells it all. ... show more

It came wet and moldy!! It was in a dry box, and delivered to my covered porch, so it didn't get wet after delivery. It was SHIPPED wet. Seeds cannot survive in moldy dirt, so this was useless. Just had to pour it out in a section of my garden with no plants, and let it dry to kill the mold. I'll eventually be able to plant into it, but it'll never be useful for seed planting. ... show more
