  • Works well!
Style: Bold Blooms
This works well. Here it is almost October. It's still hot and humid in my area so my annuals are still growing and producing flowers. I just used this plant food yesterday. This is my second purchase of the product. My annuals are happy and still very pretty. Only complaint I have is the product doesn't dissolve very quickly. I have to make sure I stir the water and the plant food well before using it. ... show more

  • Did the trick
Style: All Purpose
Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! I have a smallish garden made up of 8-9 planters ranging from 3x3, 3x4 and 2x4. My garden was floundering this year and I couldn't figure out why. As it turns out, a couple of different problems, only one of which I could really fix mid-season and that was my fertilization program. After doing a bit of research I landed on the Miracle-Grow Organics All Purpose fertilizer in hopes of saving my small garden. In short, this along with a new water regimen including the purchase of a moisture meter has done the trick. Garden is a month behind but this solid fertilizer which is diluted into water has been very solid. As others have noted, it smells really bad. I mean, very bad and it throws a lot of dust so I highly suggest opening and adding water outside. It's not an issue other than you don't want to inhale the dust. Others have noted the solubility in that after mixing in water, some of the larger pieces tend to be left behind as 'sludge' in the bottom of your watering can. This hasn't been an issue for me as I use a can with a wider opening and I always use the hose end to stir the fertilizer as I'm adding the water. There is invariably some left over but it gets fully dissolved by the next use. To me, some are overreacting to the issue. What I care about is fertilization results and I have seen the results enough to keep using it. It's a weekly fertilizer and the small box does tend to go quickly but at $8 a box, I will only need two to get through the entire season with some left over. It's an 11-3-8 fertilizer so suitable for weekly usage. I've been pleased with the results and just ordered another box to finish up the season. I haven't tried other fertilizers as I like to stick with what works and I'll likely keep using this Miracle-Gro product. ... show more

  • Did I dig up a dead body?
Style: All Purpose
Seems to have provided a visible boost in lush greenery after a use, whereas my fox farms wasn't really standing out. But..dayum...smells like a hot corpse in the sun.

  • Did not come with a scoop...
Style: Edibles
I used a scoop from a regular container of miracle gro that i had-went through this box in one afternoon. Not worth the price for such a small amount.

  • Tomato abundance.
Style: Edibles
My biggest tomato plant using this was over 8 feet tall with over 50+ tomatoes per plant starting in July and still producing. I had 8 plants and I had to give some tomatoes away so my neighbors could enjoy them as we couldn't eat them fast enough.

  • Overall Great Water Soluble Fertilizer
Style: All Purpose
I like the Miracle Gro Performance Organics a lot. I have used it for potted plants and for outdoor landscaped plants. I live in central Florida where the soil is a very fine sand. Besides amending the natural sandy soil with top, compost, etc. you need a decent fertilizer that includes micronutrients along with the macronutrients to help give your plants what they need as you build your soil. This fertilizer does the job well. The only "con" with the fertilizer is that it doesn't completely dissolve. I usually start filling my gallon jug with hot tap water to help dissolve it or if I am going to put it in a hose end feeder I reuse a gallon water bottle or old plastic juice container like a 48 oz. size or larger to start dissolving the Miracle Gro with some hot water by filling the bottle partially then capping it to shake it vigorously, then add it to my feeder or sprayer along with other fertilizers or amendments like liquid kelp. ... show more
