I've only worn these socks two or three times, but they're great at keeping my feet warm on cold New England winter hikes. They come up to just below my knee, they're made well, soft, warm, and thick - but not so thick that they don't fit into my hiking shoes (I double up in my winter boots, but wear these solo in my Merrells). My only complaint is that the foot part of these socks is a little too large for my feet - if I pull them up tight, the heel cushion is at the back of my foot by my Achilles tendon, but if I leave the heel cushion on my heel then I get extra material bunching up around my toes. Not a deal breaker, but it does take an extra minute or two to get them just right.
