The setback from the transom with the 2" setback bracket is 5 3/8" clearance when using the sandwich brackets. I thought I needed the 5" setback brackets (which I ordered and returned) but those actually give you 8 7/8" clearance from transom and stuck out too far. I just wish Minn-Kota would issue a drawing that clearly shows dimensions with sandwich bracket so it is clear which ones need ordered. ... show more

    • Very solid and light
I have had power poles for many years. When I received this I was surprised by how light the box was. The support is very strong and gives the Raptor a very solid feel. Much better than the other company.

The hardware for this is horrible! I had 2 nuts screwed just about all the way then just stop. It was not crossthreaded as you can see in the pick. It bent trying to remove the nut. The capped nut on the bolt is screwed in by the factory and unscrews!

I put Raptors on both port and starboard sides. super clean and stout product Minn Kota is putting out. I was able to get the port side on a warehouse deal for cheap and it was in perfect condition only because some one sent it back. You do have to get the jack plate mounts to go between the engine and the transom, get the kit with both port and starboard side just in case you want to mount a second Raptor later. ... show more
