  • Super compact low power gaming PC
The media could not be loaded. Quiet, fast and super low power PC that is about the same footprint as a stack of 4 old CD Cases! So far has run every game in my Steam library in at least medium and usually high-max settings! I mounted a secondary larger 2.5 inch SSD for storage inside the back cover. A couple of tips: 1) to remover the back where there is a 2.5 inch mounting area, the screws will be found behind two glued in small rubber plugs and the two larger triangular rubber covers. The small rubber plugs are easily removed and replaced. For the large triangular pads, simply peel back the corners until you can see the screw head (no need to remove the whole piece and re-glue). Take a careful note of the orientation of the cover once removed as it is perfectly square and could easily be incorrectly replaced 90 degrees out which will cause some issues with a snug fit once the secondary drive is in place. Be careful installing the flimsy SSD connector to the main system header - make sure you have good light so you can see clearly. I would also suggest using needle nose pliers to ensure you have a good fit. For mobile use, I have previously used an Alienware X15 R2 Laptop but this system not only outperforms it but even including a small keyboard, mouse and a portable 18 inch 1080P HDMI screen the total weight is still less than the old Laptop and 180W Power Supply! This system has been running great since it arrived but today, May 1st 2023 it died in the middle of playing a Steam game. The PC did not seem to be overtaxed, or generating a lot of heat so I can only assume that hopefully it is just the power supply that has failed. The power supply brick now simply flashes green and the system will not power up :( Have contacted the supplier for assistance will update when the issue is resolved. Based on other similar reports and after testing the power supply (delivering the correct 19V and ONLY flashes when connected to the PC) it seems the system itself has likely malfunctioned! ... show more

  • I can't believe how small this is.
Style: UM773Lite(32+1T)
Replaced a mega-tower with this, and have more power than before. It's hard to believe a computer can be that small and convenient. Thus far it's running great.

  • Planning to use it for OPNSense
I'm planning to use this little box for OPNSense. It's not mentioned in the description, however the 2.5GbE NICS are Intel i225V's which should be well supported by OPNSense (or PFSense). This should be an excellent little system for this purpose.

  • Update 4: This thing is a piece of garbage, and just gets worse
Update: Bluetooth has stopped working. Computer locked up, then reboot, and now Bluetooth is not found. Tried on Linux and Windows, no go. The windows is a fresh install since no audio worked out of the box. Also, video card is no longer recognized by any games or my photo software. Back to the mac. Update Again: Minisforum sent me the reinstall to try that out. Nothing works. I am starting to think it's pure hardware problems. IF it connects to the internet it drops. IF I can access any of the drives, it crashes. IF I can get it running for more than a day the blue tooth drops, the wifi drops, the system freezes. I haven't even done anything on this. I Installed a different SSD with Linux only and it ran for a bit, then blue tooth, and wifi dropped. Transfer speeds for external drives is so slow on both windows and linux it is unreal. after an hour's wait on a 1.5 gig file transfer over USBC I just ended it. I am now back to the old computer. Update: this thing is just not worth it. The performance I was seeing has crashed. Blue Tooth drops all the time, wifi drops. It overheats if you actually use the ports. There is a constant buzzing from the audio port that has popped up under Linux. Windows still has zero audio, I use blue tooth headphones, but the Bluetooth constantly loses it's hardware connection. Seriously, blue tooth drops, and when I hit the terminal to find it, it shows no hardware. The video drops and I end up with crap video because Windows cant find the hardware. I have reinstalled Windows, I have installed the drivers off the minisforum site. I am about ready to pull all of the hardware apart and get the soldering iron out. I went back to my miisforum 350...smooth. Pros: Under Linux, I get online and can play steam games. Cons: Under Windows, I can not get ANY driver to work for sound. For some reason, I can not get any audio to work under Windows 11. From the site drivers to reddit help, nothing can get sound out of the windows boot. Under Linux all audio works, but gaming is a bit stifled. Under Windows, gaming works great, but I have zero audio. If I am trying to play a game on the included windows drive, it crashes if I switch monitors. wifi is hit or miss. It is strange that it is only under windows. The Linux drive works fine. So I am assuming that there is some conflict between hardware and 11 OS. I bought this to game under Windows, so the 2 stars is for that. ... show more

  • Value for money
Well built, shipped quickly, surprisingly well equipped for adding a 2.5" drive and a vesa mounting bracket. Very little bloatware. Quite noisy at start up, but settles down to running quietly almost immediately. It does run quite warm. Upgrading the ram is easy. Adding a drive even easier. Switching out the SSD would not be easy. Good selection of ports. Not a gaming PC if you're into the likes of CoD or BFV or anything else that needs a dedicated graphics card, but for lower end or older games with lower graphics needs (eg. World of Warships or War Thunder or anything pre-2015) it's able to run those at higher settings. Basic video editing is fine on it, although it struggles once you start getting to rendering 30+ min at 4k. Maxing out the RAM would help there, but there are hard limits with the lack of video card. Overall, it's a good option for anyone wanting a solid mid-range machine that will run anything up to mid-range games for the next ~5 years at an excellent price point for that. If you need to constantly run the latest games at max settings then this isn't the setup for that. ... show more
